Gold Refractors /50
RC: Mat Gamel
WBC GU: Kai Liu

Prospects: Chad Jenkins, Robbie Grossman, Dinesh Patel, Bobby Borchering, Tim Wheeler, Alex White, Mike Trout

Refractor Autos /199

Gold Refractor Autos /50
None

Black Refractor Autos /25
None

Dual Auto
None

Box toppers:
Blue Refractor WBC GU Kai Liu /125

Grade: D
Comments: Ouch, my worst box of the entire break. Despite the Hanson, there was no dual auto, terrible base, and the parallels (even the colorful ones) couldn't make up for it.  Beckham count is still at 1. fulltoy1 has the best chance at winning if Beckham makes an appearance in the next box.  lobos1974 is looking better and better, though.  The NFC championship has just started, so should be a while before I post another box.

Comments: Much better. Some nice color, including a dual gold exchange.  Also a Hanson.  No Beckham.  A Beckham in box #7 would favor vultrun, but lobos1974 looking very good at the moment.

I usually just list on eBay because I can't stand haggling, and most offers I receive from Beckett members are lowballs that just waste my time, but feel free to PM me if you're serious.

Wow, I'm just really floored by the seeding ratio of Hansons and Beckhams! I mean you always expect a little bit that way, but you're close to 3 to 1 Hansons to Beckhams if I'm thinking right.
Maybe this just means there's a Gold or Black Beckham somewhere in the last couple boxes, hopefully.

Comments: A little excitement at the end of the break, even though there's no Beckham.  The black Posey/Cervelli dual may turn out to be my hit of the break.  Definitely a top 3.  The gold Viciedo will be very nice too.  Okay, it's down to the final box. I never would have believed that a single base Beckham would hold up this long, but lobos1974 looks like the man to beat.  In his way is a single box and the very last entry in the Invitational, mariozac.  Good luck to the two of you.

Comments: Well, how about that.  The final Beckham appears in the final box.  There were three entries that predicted that the very final box would produce the winning Beckham.  One predicted 5 Beckhams in the break (probably my own prediction), one predicted 4 Beckhams, and the winner, mariozac, predicted 3 Beckhams, just one away, and not under the actual number.  So congratulations to mariozac, winner of the Robles/Hand invitational.  You win one of the precious, precious Beckham auto cards.  Please PM me your mailing address and I'll get it right out.  Sometime tomorrow I will send a PM to the other contest winner with a menu of autos from which to select.  Sorry, lobos1974, I thought you had it in the bag, but the last second shot at the buzzer hit nothing but net.  I'll have some concluding remarks about this break in a couple of days, after I finish sorting and analyzing.  I hope to post some scans as well.

Case #5 grade: C+
