That's a great band. Warren is a heck of a guitar player, I haven't heard their more recent stuff. But i've heard plenty of the older stuff. I liked the song Soulshine, i think that's what it's called.
Soulshine is the Allmans, great song by the way. Govt Mule is Derek Trucks band. They are freakin awesome. If you like the Allmans, I strongly urge you to check out Govt. Mule. It is the Allmans, with a reggae type sound.

I thought it was Warren's band. I know Derek Trucks has his own band, and he also plays with his wife's band. But I am positive Warren is the singer/guitarist for Govt Mule. I know Allen Woody was their original bassist. One of the best shows i've ever been to was Steve Vai in Houston. Eric Sardinas opened, and he just rocked the place. He was playing his beatup resonator with a beer bottle and everything. I got to meet him after the show. I saw him walking and took a poster off the wall and got him to sign it, i also took a few pics. I'll scan them and post them tomorrow
Cool. There are a few Allman Bros members in Govt. Mule. But I do know Trucks is in it. His wife is my favorite DJ on the radio station that I listen to. Anyways, Me and you have very simillar tastes in music. Definately like the blues guitar.

Amen, i love the blues. From delta, to blues rock, to southern and back. I love Eric Clapton's old stuff, he was so raw and had such great feel. His album with the Bluesbreakers is a classic. And if you're from TX, as I am, you gotta show love to SRV.
I have pictures of me at the SRV statue in Austin. I will post them once I find them. The statue is soo cool. Clapton is a God. The band that I really like that getts little love and have been around for a long time is The Black Crowes. Very southern rock, very blusey!

Black Crowes were great, a lot of people just want to point towards their "hits" but as a blues/rock band, they were top notch. I used to like Kenny Wayne Shepherd a lot, then he went all rock, but im glad he finally went back to more bluesy music. But I really like delta blues, and the guy that has that feel is Eric Sardinas, on some of his songs. I love just chilling back with friends and putting on the Robert Johnson box set. He is nowhere near a great singer, but man could that guy play, if you havent noticed im all about guitar playing since i've played guitar for 6 years.
Thats cool that you play. I wish I could. But I am left hand reatrded!  I cant do different things with both hands at the same time. I can draw though, thats the talent I was blessed with.
Does he play upside down like Jimi?

I cant draw to save my life. Dude, go Jimi style, upside gutiar, lol. I have a friend that LOVES Jimi Hendrix, he can play over 15 songs

Well, he's a righty, but he got a lefty guitar and plays it upside down. Yeah, he's a little bit obsessed. We met because we were in the same band at different times. Funny, we both quit the band for the same reason, didn't like play alternative rock music Big Grin . I got into the blues, and didnt want to play that kind of music anymore
cant blame you. Alternative was cool when I was younger. But now, its all just noise to me. I mean I have a hard time listening to Nirvana anymore, and I was obsessed with then in the ninth grade. I guess I am getting old.

I'm not sure what I want to do with it. Maybe hold on to it until the season gets going and hope they all play good and try and flip it. Alex Smith may be a stretch though.
