office space Wrote:"we find its best to fire people on a friday, that way there is less chance of an incident"  Thanks for all the comments guys! I've already got 2 leads with companies in my area...all from one phone call. My brother is a beast in the IT job market. He has connections all over the east coast. |

It sounds like you've got a marketable skill set - hopefully it won't be long before you find something new and better. You know the old saying - when one door closes, another one opens. Hang in there and keep your head up. |

Try dice.com. It sounds like your background matches up with some of their listings.

Since the late 80's and early 90's there seems to be an over abundence of people looking for computer related work and I would think that this ultimately hurts the profession, companies can afford to replace people much cheaper. ... but maybe im all wrong, just an outsider looking in. ![]() If anyone is looking for a new career, go into the healthcare field, there will never be a shortage there.

I work for a cell phone tower company, so unless people stop using their cell phones I'm pretty safe. SteelerCollector, I replied to your PM. |

You think that is bad how about this. My grandparents owned a printing company in Jacksonville Fl. They sold it 15 years ago to another company in the area. They still worked there as sales reps. Two months ago they got called into the big guys office and he fired them because they we to heavy manned and couldn't justify having 5 sales reps.
