allstarcollectors.com store in orangeville
to all that really care about the hobby world, i would suggest going to this store in orangeville. it helps reassure me that there is still compassion and genuineness within this business. not only is this store amazing in price, selection and overall vibe, but the store owner is someone who cares deeply about his customers and the industry in general. michael is an "all-star" when it comes to the hockey card world. i just wanted to get this off my chest.

Bretty....you are bang on!!!... allstar is not just a place where I go to bust wax, but a place that I can go and talk hockey and just have a laugh. I have also hit some outstanding cards there. Such as my 1/1 black printing plate of 06/07 udS2 Sidney Crosby. I encourage anyone that can to make a trip up to see Mike at Allstarcollectors, you won't be disapointed.

just trying to let you know of a great card store, I have heard about some unfriendly card store owners out there, and thought that there could be some people that wanted a change.
And for the record I don't own it or get anything out of promoting the store, just enjoy the hobby and the friendly service. |

Thanks guys for the kudos. And no, I didn't put these guys up to this. I was surprised when I saw the store name and was hoping that it wasn't a Rant! Not sure why people are always suspicious of people on the boards. I remember when Newbee got the Crosby 1/1 plate and posted it on the Beckett boards, but didn't have a scan. People actually doubted he pulled it. Anyways, thanks again guys. I appreciate the kudos. No free packs, but maybe a small discount on the next box buy!

Congrats to Michael on the fine reputation his store is building. The number of card shops is dwindling - we see posts on here all the time about folks who don't have a card shop in their area so it's great to see some props for a store from it's customers. Although his store is not technically in the GTA, it's well within reach - and as the OP (or someone else) pointed out, card shops are more than just a place to throw down money - they're a great place to hang out with like-minded folks, talk sports, have some great fun and meet new people - that, in my opinion is what makes the hobby fun...... Congrats |

I haven't made it to Mike's store yet, but he's a solid guy. We'll get up there sometime soon -- probably after we finish our move of The IceBox next month!
