Could This card be a BGS 9.5?
Just purchased a psa 10 Topps 1986 Nolan Ryan card. I am considering crossover to bgs but I want some other opinions on the card because I would want to cross if it would grade 9.5 or higher. here is a pic:

Possibly.  Centering looks good, corners do too.  Might depend on how that top part of the Right Edge looks in person.

9.5 or higher??? Possible 9.5 but not a chance of higher as in Pristine 10..

I don't care for the t/b centering a whole lot which could cause it to be a 9...

how about a scan of the back??

Is there any tiny print dots not showing up in the scan? Reason I ask is BGS is alot tougher on print dots just a couple tiny ones your looking at 8.5 surface,,

If I had to guess based on the scan I would say 9 but then again I've tried to cross tons of 1980's stuff from PSA to BGS and more times than not MG was not met...

The only way you can ever get a 100% unbiased grade (with any grading company) is to send in raw.. Some companies want to look better than the competition some just grade a little tougher when grading through a plastic slab once it's craked there's no going back..

Either route you take keep us updated.

their are no print dots on the card. I am worried about the centering as well t/b I hope it will get a 9 and everything else 9.5 If I send it in in its psa case, and they review it, will they take it out if they believe it will grade 9.5 or will they take it out anyway to grade it?

Seeing that professional grading is subjective, it depends on who grades it and if they had their coffee yet.

You got kind of lucky on the centering grade. I have two graded barry bonds cards from that year (both with 9.5 centering subgrades) and your front t/b centering is off a little and the back centering is off. Anyways, congrats on the gem mint card.

I have a very rare michael jordan card signed by john salley!!!
