That's funny. In my experience, Beckett may not always be perfect with every order, but PSA can't grade cards.

Both do a pretty good job. PSA just has a working registry-which is nice.

Yes but you have to realize pack fresh does not equal perfect under any circumstance.

BGS is horrible!!!!!!
I sent in a Michael Jordan Fleer rookie card a few years ago for my son. I received a 6.5 for my final grade. The subgrades were SURFACE- 9.5, EDGES 8.5, CENTERING- 8 and CORNERS 6. Is this typically what a person would receive on a card with such high marks and one bad grade? Can I re-submit to try to have the grade changed? I know it isn't a 9.5, but I have seen many cards on Ebay with 8's and 8.5's that don't seem to compare with my card.I don't understand the reason for the 6. According to BGS standards a card with 2-3 corners showing wear receives a 7. I just wanted to protect it when I submitted, now he is ready for college and we are trying to pay fees.Could someone please help me? Thank you.

Your lowest grade was a 6. That means the overall grade can't be any higher than .5 over that.

You are correct. LOL I have seen so many PSA 10's that are so off centered that the human eye can catch it and I guess they don't factor rough edges into their grade either. Also, I have sent them autos that I acquired in person and they said they were fake.

AskBGS,
Your customer service through email has been dreadful to me.  I have sent 5 emails in the
past few years and received a total of 1 response.  Nor was a response ever made to my follow up to the one they did respond to. I was lucky enough to find a direct phone number for an employee who has been extremely helpful to me as the general phone number is ineffective also.

I feel like I had a better chance at winning the lottery than getting some sort of response/help from BGS email or phone support.

The e-mail address for customer service is grading@beckett.com . The phone number is 972-448-9188. On the phone number, you may have to leave a message, but they return them in the order they are received (unless they have cleared out all of the messages). The two people to speak with are Joe or Jeromy. (You are probably speaking with one of the two). If you don't get a response, post something here and I will try to help you.
