Hey everyone,
I haven't posted one of these in a few months, mainly because I have stopped collecting and also tracking every SPA that shows up on the various trade boards and Ebay. Life got to be to busy with work, wife, and three kids. Then there was also the UD email of them no longer backing any proven tampered SPA's I would send them, that pretty much ended my 6 year "job"with UD of trying to help them stop SPA counterfeiters.

About once a month I do find some time to look up SP Authentic patches on Ebay and see how they are doing $ wise, and if any suspicious looking patches are still popping up.

For old time sakes I thought I would warn any potential last minute bidder's on this card.

With Ebay's new bidder hidden ID policy, it is nearly impossible to warn the current bidder's, but maybe someone here was thinking of bidding on it at the end of the auction.

Does anyone keep a list of patch fakers from ebay. If not I think Im going to start keeping track.

Newfie is a hero to me. I am sure many are wondering who would shell out so much $$$ for this card. There's often a reason behind purchasing an amazing 1/1 patch card...I am not a speculator or even a Cardinals or Leinart fan. Here's the email I sent to the seller:

Dear chul8804,

Hey, I just won the auction and then this link was sent to me by several card collectors: http://www.beckett.com/beckettforum/defa...&t=1736837

I bought this card for my son...who has the same eye condition Matt Leinart had growing up. I am not a Cardinals or Leinart fan...but I thought this card would inspire him through eye surgeries that my son will be undergoing. That's why I bid top dollar for it.

The evidence is overwhelming and I require an immediate explanation on why the patch has been removed.

If the card has been altered (which was not stated in the auction), then do the honourable thing and do not send me an invoice. If you send me an invoice, you must address the link above.

I wanted the card for my son...but the real card with a real game used patch. Do the right thing--this is more than just making a quick buck.
