What do you think:?:

Do you think the grader was asleep or somehow the card was damaged in the holder?

That is not something you miss, even if you are grading on a 5 second time limit. That was damaged AFTER it was graded before it was put in the holder. Who ever owns that card should have filed a claim immediately.

Any background on the card? is it yours? a scan from ebay or other?

Reason I ask is because thats a pretty BIG chip it would still be floating around in the holder..No?

Looks like a reflection or the grader was asleep at the wheel to me..

EDIT TO ADD:
after looking again maybe the scanner or slab has debree on it? look to the right of his name in the circled area same kinda white mark. Just doesn't look like damage from the slab to me. Without any paper particules from the chips floating in the holder..

Im actually the owner of the card. I bought it on eBay this past week.

Here's the picture from the auction

Ebay Auction

I'm trying the move the card around but it won't budge so I'm assuming it's not a piece of debri. I guess even with graded cards you have to be careful.

Hmm.. well If it was already there when graded it's not grossly overgraded as under the criteria a chip is allowed for 9 edges.. But pretty distracting none the less.

Edges: Virtually Mint to the naked eye. Unobtrusive specks of chipping on the borders are allowed.

IMO the edges are over graded and should be an 8.5 to 8 depending on how they look in person. If the rest of the subs were 9.5 I'd be upset at buying a flawed 9.5. I guess it is possible something could of occured during the encasing process as well.
