It's not that impressive a collection. Mostly base/insert

I have about 300-400 doubles, let me know if you have some and maybe we can trade.

shedwa Wrote:When I was younger I used to be a Pirates fan. My friend's dad took my friend and I to a game at the old Three Rivers Stadium in Pittsburgh one time and we waited around the player parking lot after the game for autographs. Lots of players, maybe 6 or more stood around their cars signing autographs. I can remember running from one player to another with my ball. In those days, all that divided the player parking lot from the public street was a low fence and some bushes, so as little kids we had a tough time reaching over the bushes and fence to hand players our ball and pen. When I got to Jim Leyland, the manager at the time, I dropped my pen in the bush while handing it to him. He was nice as could be and helped me fish the pen out of the bush. One of my best baseball memories as a child. Still have the ball.

Another cool story!

Collecting: Kansas City Royals, Arizona Diamondbacks, Aussies in MLB
Trading fo
r equal BV. Min trade values $10BV. Ship once a week.

Anyone know who this guy is? I do. I met him at his house in Apple Valley,Ca.
Really nice guy. He hangs out with Bobby Bonds. He says Clemente was notorious for partying like a rock star and was one of his close friends.

P.S. He hand signed this card as well. Would not let go of any Clemente stuff he had. :snaps fingers:

Dock Ellis passed away last year...He once pitched a no hitter for the Pirates while he was high on LSD. True Story! He later worked with recovering drug addicts after he conquered his problems!

Collect Andrew McCutchen, Roberto Clemente and most current/vintage Pirates. Some Braves Dynasty like Maddux, Klesko, Javy & Chipper.

seems Tino Martinez is stalking me. I bumped into him (literally) and got a pic of him at a party in cali and then again this past spring we were eating at a Chilis and he came in and sat a couple of tables away in the banquet room in tampa. i didnt on both occasions ask for an auot since i had gotten him several times while he was with seattle before moving on to NY.
i have made it a quest to try and get as many players as i can the last 20 years and have done some pretty crazy stuff...but its the ones that you meet by chance that seem to stick in your mind. i have met several players (in fact lots) and these guys are just like us...they eat and breathe and put one pant leg on at a time. its nice to meet the ones that are nice because there are some that arent.
