I've said all along that Bruce is far superior in squaring the bat on the ball. Upton may have blazing bat speed but you have to hit it for it to go somewhere. I'm completely out of my Bruce Investment and still have a ton that is all profit so I can relax and enjoy the ride. Everybody knows he will be the hottest thing come spring training next year as a 21/22 year old coming off a .275 15 HR 50 RBI season guaranteed to be a starter hands down. Of course he will probably have slumps here and there as he adjusts but the people comparing him to what Upton has done obviously hasn't watched this kid play. They are completely different players and they have completely different hitting/batting approaches. There are many here who will quote me where I said I'll take Bruce's 1st 75 games in the majors against Upton's back in April when Upton was god. I like upton and believe he'll be a great player one day but Bruce has 40 HR potential that I don't believe Upton will sniff for at least 8 years or so. Let Bruce finish this year with 20+ HR's and see how much hype there will be going into next year.

I agree Bruce has more immediate HR potential, he has more of a natural HR swing. I do not agree Bruce is better at making contact or hitting it harder when he makes contact. I think people are comparing them because...y'know, they're both athletic, multi-tooled, 1st round preps from 2005, took similar paths, and well I'll stop . I also don't think Bruce will end the year at .275, although 15 HR is certainly doable, not sure about 20...we'll see. But hey, difference of opinions. Ofcourse, we do agree on Michael Saunders, and that's something to build on.

Unfortunately I didn't get to see Upton play that much in the minors as he was always in leagues I don't get to see as much as I do the SAL, SOU, INT, and APP leagues so I have to go on what I've seen mostly in the majors via the ole MLB Ticket. I still think 15 HR's will be about right but with the last sentence I should have put an IF in front of the 20+ HR's. I don't think he's a lock by any stretch but it is possible and if it were to happen then the hype going into next year would be astronomical. The hype is going to be there anyway barring an Upton collapse which I really don't see happening. He should continue to hit 2B's and HR's with some RBI's, the key will be the avg. Longoria is getting hot now and he's batting less but he's getting some starting to get to that good HR/RBI total range. Remember WHEN not IF the Reds trade Griffey and or Dunn, Bruce will be hitting in the middle somewhere leading to more RBI's. I sold a little of 6K of Bruce during his initial call-up run but I only had 3K left in all of the cards I had of him. I'm already 3K to the good and still have 7 Sterling Blacks, 2 Topps Chrome Blacks, and a Chrome & sterling Ref. Most of them are graded PSA 10's or BGS 9.5 so I can sit back and see what happens. I'm going to go to the National so who knows I might move some up there. I'm liking what Saunders is showing this year....I hope Seattle doesn't mess this up as he was so raw 2 years ago and now he has really improved every aspect of his game. I really think this kid can be another great, yes not good, but great player. He's still growing into that 6'4'' frame and learning what pitches he can drive. Very happy so far with my Saunders pick/stash whatever you want to call it. I got the BGS 10 Red Ref in and it looks good. My count now is up to 3 Red Refs, 19 Gold Refs, 9 Orange Refs.

I disagree - there isn't a problem with *rookie cards* but rather with first-year cards.
