Looking for a player to collect any suggestions?
So as I slowly sell off part of my collection, I was thinking I would like to start a player collection, I'm not looking for a guy with a million cards, someone preferably young so I can get a head start on there cards. Here are some players I thought of: Claude Giroux, Scott Hartnell, Christian Hanson. Any input let me know.

Thanks,
Alycia

Collecting: Scott Hartnell and James Van Riemsdyk (Once his cards come out)

What is your favorite team? Is your favorite team in the playoffs? If yes, watch them play, and eventually you'll find a player you really like. Seems like a lot of the young guys a really good players, so you should be able to find some one. Good luck

You should pick someone that interests you. Either a young player from your favorite team or an exciting player from another. I am guessing your a flyer fan, claude g. really impressed me yesterday he had a great game and was a fun player to watch

If your from Philly, those are good picks, and wont cost you an arm and a leg. If you like goalies, I would go with Mason. And I like Kane and Toews, relatively new, that wont kill the budget, but are great players.

I guess it depends on your budget. You could go with an off the grid player (cheaper) such as Turris, Brassard, Varlamov, or Frolik that have upside to them. Or you could go with a bona fide furture star such as Kane, Toews, Mason, Doughty, Stamkos, etc., etc., etc. If your a Flyers fan and want to something different (not Giroux) try Luca Sbisa, Braydon Coburn, or Ryan Parent.
I just ask, politely, that you stay away from Brian Elliott, Brian Lee, Ilya Zubov, or any other young Sens player.

like the other responses say....you'll figure it out after a bit when a few names keep sticking out to you.

im trying to focus on Mike Green as the player from my 6 that i could realistically get the highest of his total cards. Less than 400 out there, and somewhat off the radar so not a wallet killer to grab a few of his cards. (Although i have noticed his cards now pretty consistently going over BV over last month or so on ebay)

Good luck with whomever you choose

Collecting: Backstrom (77 diff cards), Ovechkin(g) (61) , Green (27) , Parise (4
2) , Semin (35) , and Brodeur (112)
and starting a Varlamov PC (only 6 so far)

GO Devils! GO Caps!

Mike Green has been getting some press time lately, thats why. He is a great player, but when you play next to ovechkin, no one else gets noticed ;-)
