MAILCALL
As promised here are the details form my two mailers today! First up was John G. John sent a two bagger with a bunch of Kenny Lofton's including one that was numbered and and at least one other that I know Dawn didn't have. He also included a couple 2007 Draft cards of Lofgren and Francisco. There were also many cards in there from the Mid-90's that I;m sure I need. Dave Sent the next package that had three and half bags in it. Half you ask? Dave included a nice Kenny Lofton pin again for Dawn that she won't see until tomorrow but I'm sure she'll be excited! Also included in the mailer were what seemed like full team sets of 1990 and 1991 Donruss that at least a few of the 91's are needed! Plus the countless 2008 new releases that I hadn't seen yet like SP Legendary Cuts and A Piece of History with two nice numbered inserts from APOH. Got an ebay win also that included two Josh Barfield 2008 Spectrum jersey cards I needed, will show off later. |

Team Collectors Thread - July 2008
Good morning. The end came quickly for the boys last night. My starting pitcher did not have it and we were down early and often last night. The final was more of a football score, 22-9. The good thing is we did come back in the middle of the game to give them a scare, but we ran out of pitchers (part of the problem of playing 3 times in 4 days) and went down quietly. It was a great season. Thanks for all the support you guys give.
I made up 3 packages on Sunday. I have Indians, Braves and Pirates in my car. I hope to get them to the PO today. If not, tomorrow. Tonight will be the first time in a long time I can just go home from work and relax. No baseball, no softball, no nothing tonight! Yea!!! I received a package from John yesterday. I did not have time to post the contents as I got home late from the game. I will report out tonight on it. Wayne |

Good MAENing MAILCALL !!!
![]() I received a package yesterday from AdamsDad05 which included several nice new cards from 2002-2008. Complete base team sets from 03 Splendid Splinters, 03 Finest, an 04 Donruss Classics Chone Figgins and and a 2008 Bowman Gold Torii Hunter! Also included was an unopened 1994 Upper Deck Fun Pack. Inside was a foldout card of Carlos Baerga & Roberto Alomar, base cards of Kirby Puckett and Carlos Baerga, Stars of Tomorrow insert of Carlos Delgado, and a Cincinnati Reds Scratch-Off game (which will be headed back to Kevin) ... truly a fun pack. THANKS KEVIN!!! Angels lost to the Indians last night. They left at least 9 men on base and only scored one run. I hate watching my team lose games that way. Bonus was that I got to watch the game in HD on FSN West. For some reason, the channel did not black out when the game started. I'm glad I was tuned in for the pre-game show to accidentally find out. Wayne, sorry to hear about the team's elimination. It was a great run while it lasted! John, enjoy your 102 ... it's dry and low 80's here today

Good MAENing TCs:
Howyadoin. Billy, Justin and Monty. I have sent you very special e-mails. Give them a look. I think you'll find it interesting. I'm beginning to get excited about the TC Convention. Anyone besides Wayne and I make their reservations? If not, Wayne and I will have a good time. Andrew, I tried to send you an e-mail, but it came back. I'll try another address that I have. Hot and rainy in D.C. today. Probably the angels crying about the Cardinals loss last night. But the Cubbies dived too so, we didn't lose any ground except to the Brewers. I miss Barry. Get your thingy fixed Barry and come on back. I bet its the cole slaw from his BBQs that has gummed up the works. Once again the AG works wonders on sellers who fail to delivery. My cards are now in the mail, or so he says. Wayne, sorry about the loss. But remember my saying, "Baseball will always break your heart." Have great ones, Ironman |

Mail day this morning from NIMSTER.
Thanks man - some very nice Schmidtties (what is the plural of Schmidt?) Also some Thomes that I've never seen! Cool Had a business trip that took me to Williamsport, PA on Sunday for a Monday meeting with Little League Baseball. Sunday nite went to Bowman Field (nation's second oldest - no one there could tell the oldest...) to see the Williamsport Crosscutters (Phillies) vs. Mahoning Valley Scrappers (Indians). I never get tired of minor league baseball...wish I had more opportunity. Had a nice tour of the LLB Museum and a peek at their archives on Monday. My company represents LLB (and other entities) and looks for manufacturers who will license LLB trademarks, iconography and imagery to add value to their product line. I've been in this biz for a while now, and it is fun - it's primarily sales, so there's always pressure to close deals, but I'm lucky I get to be involved with some creative types. Putting final touches on my X-mas mailing. Looking for wrapping paper of Santa in a bathing suit. I know it exists somewhere! Have a good Tuesday all - let's go Phillies! |

Uh-Oh Nim... Someone signed up on your site that I don't think is supposed to be there. Their name is LANA and I don't know who they are. If I'm wrong and they're supposed to be there I'm sorry but just seemed fishy.

At first I thought it was going to be a spammer, but then I noticed it was one of our generous charter members. |

Nimster Wrote:John, enjoy your 102 ... it's dry and low 80's here today Well, I must say that I stayed indoors most of today. I did go for a run at lunch time. It was ONLY about 95 then. My boss told me to bring my cell phone so he could come pick me up when I pass out on the side of the road. Strange thing is... I actually prefer to workout/run in the heat Hope everyone is doing well |
