Good MAENing TCs:

Wow, great to hear from you Dom, and all the great news. I'm thrilled about the marriage, but sad that you're giving up collecting. But once you get the bug, you'll always have it. It will return!!!

Billy: Welcome back my bud. Glad you made it back. Remember I'm here for you if you need me.

Randy: I had a guy here in D.C., who wanted to give his collection to us. We turned it down, but if he calls again, I will see what I can do for you. The first donation he made was tens of thousands of cards in binders stacked about 7 feet high.

Nimster: Glad you found yourself. Let's hope the Sky Sox take the plunge. I have minor league teams spreading the word about our program.

Wayne: I am so sorry that some disgruntled parents choose you take out their frustrations. If you will the state, then they'll be the same folks congratulating you. I hope you take it all. Just remember, "Time wounds all heels."

Anthony: What a beautiful, wonderful, cute baby. Congratulations my friend. You have such joy ahead of you.

My router or modem is still on the fritz at home. I hope Darling Daughter comes home soon to fix the darned thing. I was going to call a computer guy I use this weekend, but I got feeling puny on Saturday and didn't feel like I wanted anyone around. Sunday was a day in the chair, napping and feeling yucky.

I got a guy in Ohio who doesn't want to send me cards. So I have obtained the AG's information in his state and he's about to get a certified letter from the attorney general. Trouble is, he hasn't cashed my check yet. When he does...gotcha. States take a dim view of sellers on the internet stiffing customers out of state.

Cardinals did well this weekend. Played like a champion. Now the Brewers. Cardinals have their work cut out for them. Any of you see Miles GS HR yesterday. You could almost see it coming.

Only 11 days left before the trading deadline. It's going to get hot this week. Dave Philly, like your deal for Blanton? I think the Cardinals are going to try to pull a deal for A.J. Aarne, you ready to give him up? And Matt, I don't think Holliday is going anywhere, but Haupe may be going to the American League.

Peace to all,
Ironman

Hi again:

I forgot to mention that I got a great package from Monty this weekend. It's at home, but there were some great items in there, including some great M&Ms of Pujols -- including a #/25 and #/10. Thank you Monty. You are such a great guy to remember me. One of these days I'll get Iowa to give me something nice to pass along to you. Thank you, thank you. You and all the other TCs are so generous and I'm so grateful just to be a floater here.

All the best,
Ironman

Hey everybody.

Did I ever mention how much I love racing? This weekend I got the opportunity to drive an IMCA Modified. These cars are really cool because if you go fast enough, and your suspension is set up right, you can steer the car with the rear wheels...aka your right foot. How is this possible you ask?...Well these cars have enough power, so if you floor it just as you are entering the corner the car will turn itself! Most of the time to turn left you have to turn right. I found some videos for you guys. These are the same kind of cars that I raced this weekend, but the videos aren't of me.

Ever wonder what it's like to drive a race car? Here you go! They are on a really small track. I got up over 105 mph because we were on a 1/2 mile track. This track looks to be about a 1/4 mile. It's a lot louder in real life than it is in this video. It's so loud we need ear plugs.
Video 1 - In car camera

Here's a look from a different track from the stands: Whatch the left front tires of some of the cars. They actually come off the ground! If your car is set up right, it will do that. Mine did that this weekend, and it's loads of fun!
Video 2

Here's a feel for how loud they are: And a nice little rollover to go along with it!
Video 3

Enjoy!

I also received my SS in July gift!! Holy $H1T!!!! Scans in a few

Good MAENing everyone!

WOW, lots of chatter since I last bumped the page. Good to see it!
Not much to add here. I have a statistics exam today so I'll be studying the rest of the morning.
Catch you boy-o's on the flipside of lunch.

Good MAENing all!!!

Hope all had a nice weekend. The Rangers struggled for run all weekend and dropped 2 of 3 to the Twinkies, and the one win was a 1-0 pitchers dual yesterday.

Me and my 16 yo will be in Arlington Aug 4-7 for the Yankees/Rangers series and I will share pics on the other site. I plan to tour Texas Stadium again ( over 10 times now) one last time. Seems I can't go to Dallas and not tour the TEMPLE!!!

Hope all have a good week and a special shout to Thom, buddy you are a true friend and I appreciate the all the help you provided.

Billy

Hey All-

Well this was a mighty nice weekend! Big Grin Three game sweep of the hated Red Sox will make for a good weekend! Yesterday I was there and it was electric, bottom of the 8th comeback, chants of "Sweep, sweep" in the 9th...lot of fun. But I do have to admit I had to bring down some Angels fans who you would have though just won the world series and tell them to take this for what it was...A REGULAR SEASON SWEEP...be happy, be excited about the prospects of this October, but this weekend didnt mean a thing if we lose to the Red Sox again...

Funny side note...Wayne, for about the first half to 2/3 of your paragraph about your son's team (sorry to hear about that by the way), I thought you were talking about the Red Sox  Games kind of lined up there for awhile, until you started talking about the ninth, then I re-read and realized I was way off!

Four weddings down, one to go (and not another one for a month!)

Later all...
