Welcome all. So the Cubs acquire HArden but give a LOT to let him-hope he can stay healthy enough. It will be interesting to see how this works out along with CC as who is the better Pitcher?

Team Collectors Thread - July 2008
Good morning all,
Took a much needed personal day from work today. I have been feeling like I'm running on fumes lately. Took in the Yankee game last night and enjoyed a fine outing from Pettitte, as he went 8 innings of shutout ball. I was dissipointed he didn't come out for the ninth and a chance at the complete game shutout. It seems the days of pitchers pitching complete games are pretty much done with and I think it stinks. I am going to take this day to relax and look for my xmas in July's gift. I honestly have not had the time to really look for it. I'm hoping I can find some real cool items today for my victim. Talk to you all later, Mike |

bump...
Getting sick of reading the trade rumors for the Rockies. Fuentes, Holliday, Torrealba and Willy Taveras all rumored to possibly go. Everyones arguing that Holliday cant hit outside of Coors field...sure he bats .368 there this year but he is also batting .315 on the road  Maybe I need to be a seller and not a buyer too??? :doubt: |

Quick stop in to visit. It is a little bit busy these days in the office. I did get to the PO this morning. Only two packages that I had made up last week, but at least it is something! Angels and Mets were sent this morning. Enjoy!

Hey All-
Hope everyone is doing well...kind of glad to see Vlad bow out of the Derby...was fun to watch him win last year, but I would rather him rest up and get ready for the second half instead of messing with his swing that has been producing lately.... Got my item for Christmas in July yesterday...instead of finding a few smaller things, I went with one larger $$ item that I am hoping that this person 1) does not already have and 2) will enjoy. Will go in the mail this week. I read one guy say that Lackey shoudl have been an All Star over Saunders  I am still trying to figure that one out... |

Hey all!
Just back in to work from school. This four days per week class schedule is wearing me out. I have a quiz in one class every day, a quiz in the other class every Wednesday, a Mid-term tomorrow that I haven't studied for yet, and loads of homework due tomorrow (that thankfully I am almost done with), and then it starts all over again next week. OK! Enough with my whining... what a beautiful streak of warm weather we are having out here!!! Angels still have a 5-game lead in the AL West, and I have a family vacation scheduled for the second half of August. Plane tickets are purchased, beach house is paid for, AND Kailey has her 7th birthday next Tuesday!!! That is all the news I have for now. Enjoy your remaining Wednesday!

The group has been quite of late! Hope everyone is doing well! A little bump from 3
Wayne your Sox unleashed a beating today! Just nasty! Sorry Tony and Aaron! Indians blow a 6 to 1 lead. I guess thats what happens when you are struggling, are on a 9 game losing streak, trade your ace pitcher AND are 15 games out! This was supposed to be the year to end our drought! After the season we had last year it was shaping up to be that again, so much for that. Hopefully we can snap the streak still its 6 to 6 going to the 9th! Jaycob |
