the scan he posted is blurry, but is not that WAY too blurry, to make a conclusion that auto is starting to fade

You never seen a dark blue sharpie right ?? if the auto is not faded, the colour should be bright blue

the discoloration happens when the card is displayed in day-light for a long period of time ..

just check scan of graded card that got a 10 auto and you will see what i mean
