When I work with my cards, I do not mention "yall".  Not EVER.  As for storage, I never use binders and pages either, unless it is a nice small set with great cards.  Topps Archives are nice to view in binders and sets like that.  When you have 1.5 million cards, plastics get a little high.  Also from being a card shop owner in the past, the worst way to buy collections is when they are in binders.  When the binder gets too full, it will leave rings on some of the cards.  Also the customer always thinks they should be reimbursed for their binders and pages.  I just pulled them out of the binders and trashed them usually.  There's my take, but I am not a "yall".  Just could not help viewing your posting.  G.E.D. even?

Wow, crdadct. You are a pretentious jackass. Oh, wow, you have 1.5 million cards? Ooo, I'm so impressed. That's what you want to hear, right?  And people from the South sure are stupid, ain't they? You's so much better than them.
Sheee-ooot!!
People like you should be put to sleep.

and are we supposed to be impressed you used to own a shop.  obvioulsy you werent a good owner, cause instead of owning your "OWN SHOP" you are hanging around the boards trying to make people fell less superior than you. he didnt want sarcasm on how he has is collection, he wanted to know how others kept theirs. if you cant find anything good to say, then do us all a favor and keep you dribble to yourself.

Oh yeah, and getting back to the origional discussion, I don't use pages because I have very little space. I put everything in penny sleeves, because I had one set about ten years ago that I put in a box, and all the cards stuck together because of the type of gloss they had on them.
But I think I might start puting cards in pages because now I'm puting together sets, and I would like to look at them sometimes. So, to answer your question, sullentoi, I use penny sleeves, and top loaders for my prized cards, then keep everything in boxes. But I will soon have some binders with pages for my sets.

Any insert, rc, game-used, or autograph goes in soft sleeves at least. Rcs $5 and up go in top- loaders, so do better inserts and all memorabilia and autographs. I started putting team bags on most of my keepers, too(with top-loaders). Saves the top-loaders and gives the cards a little extra protection.
Hey crdadct,  nobody cares what you mention to yourself when you work with your cards. It's too bad college degrees don't teach common sense or manners. Must be a yuppie.
