Well the children hospital I called said they only accept certain items. I couldn't believe it and just said, "I guess I more interested in the kids happiness then you guys are..."

She works at a local motel and they get a lot of teams for tournements. Most of the kids like them and the coaches and parents think its great. set builder |

07mears07 Wrote:Alstott9Adams Wrote:Save some dough and go for the cup there are no commons there Alstot is right. If you are going to buy a 6 box case of SPGU, you can pretty much be guaranteed that you will loose most of the $ you spent on it. Well, I should not say guaranteed, but chances of gettng a good return are much slimmer for this product than for other higher end products. For about the same price you can get 3 tins of the cup. Sure you won't end up with as many cards, but hte quality of your trade bait will be much higher. With a case of SPGU you will end up with about 90% of your hits being $0.99-$2.00 Ebay priced jerseys. You may hit something nice, but you WILL be stuck with a lot of junk you won't be able to move easily. I have a ton of older SPGU jerseys I can't give away and haver been on my trade list for a few years now. You will likely not get 2 or 3 good hits in a box of SPGU. The norm is usually about 1 or MAYBE 2 decent hits. Your chances of hitting something more worth while out of 3 tins of the cup would be much higher IMO. If you want more evidence, of SPGU's suckability, a good buddy of mine gor a decent price ($200) on a box of SPGU. To our surprise, he was one of the lucky ones that had 2 good hits in his box. Sadly his 2 hits were a Zherdev jsy/patch (1 colour patch) and a Drury Dual Patch auto /10. He had 4 jerseys in his box that are $0.99-$10 (Ovechkin being the $10 one) ebay cards, 3 or 4 RC's that are $0.99 ebay RC's. A $5 Zherdev patch and maybe a $15-20 Drury. All that added up may make him about $30-40 if he sold it all. That is about 20% on his box. If you bust a tin of the cup, the worst you woudl likely do if you get a bunch of duds is about $150 in sales out of a $400 tin. That is about 40% of your original purchase. So you do the math . If you go for something like the cup, you will get a lot less volume in cards, but you wont be left with all the junk SPGU filler jerseys and RC's. Your value from the Cup will be about double that of an equal $ spent on SPGU as well.... Hope that made sense
