I would like to Jersey cards and Autos of Officiating crews. Also on card Posterized autographs. These would be auto'd by the player getting dunked on or blocked.

Suggestions for Panini Basketball...
I love the older players that panini has inserted into their products, at least classics. The one thing that I would change if I could is the teams in which the jerseys of the legends are on the card. For instance. a jersey of Penny hardaway that is his magic jersey is 1000X more appealing than a jersey from him on the suns. - LJ in his hornets, not knicks.
Otherwise, i love them. Thanks for making me broke. |

Suggestions for Panini Basketball...
I believe every has hit it already
1. No Redemptions, it drives away collectors (I just got lucky) 2. No Sticker Autos, not attractive and looks cheap 3. Stop Making 3 different types of Rookie cards for the same player in one brand (Panini) 4. Website should be able to sell products online (not everyone knows where to buy, and doesnt want to over pay for a box containing $6.00 cheap autograph and get nothing equal of value spent on the product 5. Like the fact that Game worn jerseys are common and of almost every player 6. Would like to see that #'d inserts of Superstars lowered rather than getting a 1/50 of Jared Dudley and a 1/199 of Dwight Howard....not cool, us collectors like lowered serial #'s for All Stars 5. Would like dual autographs more often like UpperDeck has |

Suggestions for Panini Basketball...
NO REDEMPTIONS!!! - Panini should of known this from the start. Why wait for a card that will take weeks and even sometimes months to be mailed. UD told everybody that their redemption program will get better, but it's still a bust. I been waiting since SEP 2009 for a FARMAR auto. the same exact same card can be pulled from two different products (SPGU & SP SIGNATURES)... why have one as a redemption and the other pulled from packs. The only difference is product logo.
ONLY REDEMPTIONS should be for actual autograph jerseys, playoff family tickets, basketball camp, meet & greet with Panini spoekman (KOBE), free box or case of future product. Complete exclusive set limited to say 25 or less. Complete RC AUTO SET... just to name a few ideas.... CARD PRODUCTS - all look too similiar to me. Change it up. Don't have 3-4 cards of the same player. Search for KOBE or BLAKE in one product... there are tons of them!! ALL STARS - don't put out 500 autos of ALL-STARS in one product. i.e. KOBE. Looks as if every auto card is serialized out of 100, then you got 4-5 different ones in every product. LIMIT SICKER AUTOS - keep them for the low & mid-range products. I ask myself, why did I pay $1100+ for a case of LIMITED and most of the autos were stickers?? Why pay $90+ for a pack for STICKERS AUTOS!! DUAL + TRIPLE AUTOS - have more of them!! DIFFERENT VERSIONS FOR JERSEY CARDS - everybody knows jersey cards come a dime a dozen... why have so many different versions, then to make things worse, they're all serialized out of 299? I don't care if it is a square jersey or shape of the player's jersey number... TOO MUCH PRODUCT - seems like there are 2 products coming out every month.. with Panini having the only licence to manufacturer NBA cards, they instanlty made millions of dollars by shutting out UD & TOPPS. they'll make money no matter what they do... FOCUS ON CREATIVITY INSTEAD OF PRODUCTIVITY!!! too many different products... the average collector only buys 1-2 boxes a month. I for one can not afford to buy every box that comes out & rather buy something that returns the money that I just spent. I'd rather get 3-4 autos from a box than one auto and a few jersey cards. REMEMBER THE KIDS!!! they spend their lunch money on wax!! have a few low end products for them!! INTERNET - I may be wrong, but $80-90% of card buying is done over the internet... let those internet shops compete for our money!! if not, then big shops like DACARWORLD and BLOWOUT will be winning all the price wars and continue to outsale the small time internet sellers!! LCS already have a hard time making money... let authorized dealers/sellers buy directly from Panini instead of using middlemen to up the price per pack... funny how products sale for $100 at the LCS & then can be bought at $60-70 online.. if LCS bought directly, they too would be able to sale at a cheaper price and pass the savings onto the collector, which will return and buy more product. I've stopped going to the LCS as much as I would like, because I am unable to get "great" deals. I enjoy going to my favorite LCS in Chula Vista, Ca, but cut back, because the owner is unable to buy in mass quantity. Basketball card collectors are hard to find in San Diego... even in Washington State, where I recently travelled to. There is not a high demand... atleast in my area. It is hard to find a deal, therefore I am forever watching the net for the next break!! Can't wait for Panini to come out with that $600 for 5cards per pack product. NEED: SPA 08-09 "CITY NAME LETTERS" G, E, S 1/1 & /3 *ALL LAKAERS NEED: ELITE BLACK BOX LAKERS AUTOS (KAREEM/10 & BAYLOR/24) MY BUCKETT: http://photobucket.com/jpleazme *United States Navy* |

Suggestions for Panini Basketball...
my suggestion is get out of the market, you won`t make it,no upper deck or topps is like a ferrari with vinyl seats, get my drift, this is very sad for the basketball market and its collectors and many sellers like myself will be hurting,mr Sal Larocca from the NBA global marketing group has made a terrible mistake allowing the rights to Panni in my opinion, contact him with your complaints !

Suggestions for Panini Basketball...
VGQV Wrote:I will get straight to the point, relinquish your contract with the NBA to let Upper Deck & Topps solely produce my NBA cards. You have no business producing something you've never made before. You say the hobby has declined now and you have lost collectors who can't afford high end stuff. Well, what about the collectors you will lose NOW? Are you thinking of them? Good luck with your 20 sets for next season, you have no chance. U.D. or Topps couldn't do that! Agree 100% with you my friend, its very sad that i have no ud or topps cards to look forward to come the 10-11 nba season and selling on ebay for me looks like a lost cause now,my prayer is ud & topps will be back in 2 years because panni will be a failure this much i know collecting for 30 years. |

Suggestions for Panini Basketball...
Here are some suggestions:
1. Designs need to be unique to the product. I steer away from buying boxes when the designs are boring and look like several other products. I'd like them to be able to distinguish the products. Right now, I look at the cards and feel like they're a Panini design and not a specific to a certain product. 2. Reduce the number of parallels. For example, all the different Prestige parallels were annoying. If you are going to make parallels, then either autograph or patch the card rather than making slight modifications. 3. Reduce the number of releases. I think 12 would be good for a season with 4 high end, 4 mid-tier and 4 low-end. This will allow all demographics to collect cards. 4. On-Card Autos. I'm tired of all the sticker autos!! Consider the card's surface when producing these cards, so the on-card autographs come out nicer. For example, the on-card autos for Contenders were not very sharp. Also, there needs to be better autograph placement so it's clearly visible and stands out. |
