hey i totally agree with you.i felt the same way at the time. but now when i think of "wrestling"  i think more of guys who can actually wrestle like samoa joe, rey mysterio, a.j. styles get my point rather then "sports entertainers"

Wrestling had technicians back then, too. There were guys who could put on technical matches (Bret Hart, Dynamite Kid, Davey Boy Smith, etc.) but they weren't really emphasized as much.

What they really didn't have were high-flying (crazy) daredevils. Shawn Michaels was more of a risk-it-all type beginning in the mid 1990s but you really didn't get crazy (dangerous) stuff until ECW's influence snuck into WWE with Mankind getting thrown off of the tops of cages and then the Hardys, Dudleys, etc.

yeah i know they had some good wrestlers back then too.  glad to see that there are people on the board who know who tiger mask is. some wrestling fans  dont realise there is a ton more out there then just wwe and tna. i prfer to watch japanese wrestling.

I think Undertaker-Shawn Michaels at WM 25 just might go down as the greatest WM match ever. It's tough to compete with other gimmick matches Edge vs. Foley at WM 22 for example but for a pure match, it's tough to top.
