RE: Trade and Sales threads on the boards. Please read!
I'm glad this post was looked over and edited.

I feel that MANY people who have cards for trade don't come online too often.
Posting a "Anyone want to trade?" thread enables online users to get quick response time with trades. Nobody wants to wait forever for someone who comes online once a year, has no pricing subscriptions and/or then turn down the offer anyway.

I'm not sure why these threads are looked down upon. Aslong as it is clear that the trades must be commited to the Beckett trade applet, I feel these threads should get Kudos for keeping the trade movement going...

99% of my trades have been generated through the discussion boards. I have about 5 decaying offers I have sent to random people who I doubt even come online any more.

I think allowing trade threads is the way to go...I have no problem using the trade tools...but I am in the process of uploading 100's of cards on to photobucket....I'd like to up load them to beckett too but since beckett is not the only site I use it make since to use photobucket first...Also if I post a thread here using photobucket I can perhaps add some of the cards as I make deals because it can be pretty time consuming (even when organise is working perfectly)

thecooker24 Wrote:Hey everyone

For a while when the system was new and everyone was learning it, we would just lock the sales threads and give a quick explanation why. Now it has been a while and most people should know the rules. The whole purpose of the new system is to use the "Organize" feature to initate trades/sales and find stuff you need. Remember these things about the new system:

-All trades and sales are to be made through "Organize"

-There are some really good reference materials on how to set up you "My Organize" to start selling/trading, Including a great sticky thread in these Hockey message boards.

-Any sales threads from now on will be deleted

-Read the TOS (link at the bottom right corner of this page)

Have fun!

Alright Matt...what exactly are you trying to say here ?..(JK)

Looking for past and present rookies

Everyone's wait is over.  Do you hate eBay and how it bullies everyone?  They make you use PayPal, can't rate the buyer, and most importantly the FEE's are terrible.  There is a New Auction Site just for Collectors.  It's www.thecollectorsbay.com   We have just started and are looking for buyers and sellers.  We have the 2-way feedback system, accept ALL forms of payment (its up to the seller), Item-Swap Option (Trade), Store option for bulk sellers, NO Listing Fee's for basic auctions, any fee that eBay charges is 50% cheaper or FREE with us.  We have excellent customer service, emails are answered in 2hrs or less, if we don't have a category for what you sell, email us and we will within 24 hrs.  We are interested in Collectors getting the most out of their valued treasures.  Check us out:   www.thecollectorsbay.com    "Collectors Alternative to Auctioning"

Through the organize thread, how can one find what another trader wants so he/she can offer a logical trade for what they want vs. what one wants for their collection? In other words, I have to lnow what they have to trade and what they need to make a trade.

RE: Trade and Sales threads on the boards. Please read!
I have not made trades on here since the new system
it was just too much work
I have everything I trade in my tradepage and photobucket

to uploader to organize is too much
I was on here regularly, and made wl  over 300-400 trades before the new site came along

I am still here but not very activate in trades
just my 2 cents
thanks

So if you are working on a trade and do not have enough to make it worth while for another person can you offer to purchase the card or is that not allow in the TOS?
