It appears that people are holding back posting comments on alot of threads unless its theirs. I have seen too many "WHAT DO YOU THINK" threads that if I see another one, I will shoot myself. Or the "WHATS ON YOUR CHRISTMAS LIST" too. May I remind a certain person here that will remain un-named, that replying to your own thread, does NOT add tot he count. This is for a box set of playoff cards, not a brick of gold. This forum has gone nutty since. Can we return to normal discussions here and not try and be the most clever poster. That means, go back to normal discussions here please...Thanks

ok back to a discussion though. I think its saturday and I already miss college football. I cant wait till bowl season.  As fas as my christmas list: A healthy family, keeping my job for another year, and a Walter Payton / Barry Sanders Dual Auto Card.

I got half case of 07 Bowman HTA boxes, 1 06 LR&s, 1 08 select. Getting Valkierye (sp) Chronicales for PS3, and some 4" senko worms (bass fishing) not to sure what I am getting from the rest of family. I think a bass pro gift card, barnes and noble gift card, and thats about.

HHmmmmm bailouts....... Wish I could get some of the pie. The gov has spent how many Billion and nothing has helped me other than gas prices dropping and stores closing which neither one a good. On the plus side my job is 100% safe with 2 pay raises next year so I am cool.

So are you trying to be the cleverest poster of all by making a discussion about every other post? Just being a little sardonic.
I kind of like the increased activity. There were always "What Do You Think" and "Holiday Gift" posts, there's just a few more now. It's nice to see a little life breathed into the boards. If there's a junk post, then people won't reply to it, and it will soon fall off. But if somebody replies to it, and it starts a discussion between just the two people, who are we to say that they're wrong for doing so? There's contest rules, and those who post too much will be disqualified.

the major problem on this site is one a person has to reply on EVERY post like that one person on the baseball board ( you all know who I mean ), thinking that by running up thier post count, and getting to a higher level makes them someone special on the boards.

Well, just like on the old boards, the title "SR Member" meant absolutely nothing there, the different Levels on this site mean absolutely nothing here.

You hit it right on the nail. I was and I did it to prove a point. Yes, it is nice to see some life on the boards. I kinda thought it was okay before. You have general discussion about the hobby, people posting their breaks and mail and others coming here seeking help and info. But to post threads with "look at my error card I have on ebay" and other posts that are strictly geared to gain post hits to win a box of cards is silly. Post because you have something to add. Something to give in response to a question. Something that might be useful to the rest of us whether in personal story, experience or kin-eye. Majority of the people here understand that and that is why the boards are not over run with silly things.
