HANK AARON AUTO ON JOE MONTANA CARD??
xnamyeknomx Wrote:ok with all that being said, in your opinion what would the montana auto be worth, if i replaced it??First of all, this thread is going nowhere and should just die. This auto isn't by HANK AARON. It's a pathetic attempt to alter a card thinking the value would be increased due to error or trying to get the company to replace card with another Joe Montana while having the peeled off sticker to apply to another card and sell . I am not accusing the OP of being the person who failed to convince us, but take a look at the signature. Its somewhat close to Aaron's name. I mean, they spelled Aaron right, but the writing is not done by the HENRY AARON we know. Hank has always taken pride when signing his name because he is recognized as one of the best HR hitters of all time and ALWAYS signs with his first name and never just Aaron for a compnay promo. This sticker had to be applied by someone other than the company as it goes thru more than hiring a monkey to slap them on. The signer has a sheet with multiple stickers that is sent to them to sign, not just one. The likelyhood that only one such card has surfaced is not thinking with a straight head. If this actually did happen, there would be more than one. I have seen some cards without the stickers and you could have had a card signed by a lesser player simply wiped clean off the sticker, signed it aaron and applied it to the blank missing auto card of montana or taken montana's off. This thread is going nowhere because it lacks creditibility. The more I think about it, its was you who did this all along. Shame on you. ![]() ![]() ![]()

HANK AARON AUTO ON JOE MONTANA CARD??
Sue Donruss! They gave you a guarantee that you have an autograph of Joe Montana, and didn't get it, so sue them for cases and cases of cards! *evil laugh*
Seriously though, If I pulled that card, I would try and figure out what the correct version would go for, and try to get more with the uncorrected (maybe use buy it now on eBay). If it didn't bring anything in after a little while, I'd get it replaced. |

Shame on you. re-read what you just wrote and see how stupid it sounds. and yes most companies dont hire some monkeys to slap on stickers but the more and more i open cards i really have to question that. I have pulled many of aarons autos and most of them look like a 3 yr old wrote the name and half of them are falling off the stickers, so who konws maybe he signed hi name across 2 stickers and not just one. and the last time i checked all autos are signed with a perminant marker not a dry erase marker so they cant be "wiped off". The more i read of your posting the more i see it is you who lacks the credibility. I was standing with 4 other guys in the shop when the card was pulled from the pack, so i know its authentic, and donruss confired it with me when i called them the day i pulled it, so as far as your theory its wrong. btw go Michigan!! (i am a big fan also) |

HANK AARON AUTO ON JOE MONTANA CARD??
I've been doing a little more research too and I can't seem to find another auto that doesn't include his first name in it. This leads me more to believe that it is fake...

This leads me more to believe that it is fake... I've read on this very site how easy it is to remove an autograph on a sticker far too many times, so accusing the one who brought it up doesn't mean squat. And your statement about Hank signing on two stickers is simply absurd. The autographs are close, but the capital "A" is different. What I don't understand, is why anyone would want to destroy a perfectly good Joe Montana autograph in hopes that an oddball collector might be interested in a supposed 'error' card. I mean, I do understand greed, but really... the card would have been worth way more with the original auto on it. And your defending it just makes it seem all the more fake. You keep trying to come up with excuses, and keep throwing out more and more lame reasons why it should be worth more. Some dumb sap will buy it and you'll get your money, so just let it go. ![]() You are already missed |

HANK AARON AUTO ON JOE MONTANA CARD??
LMFAO! Are you all serious? All this over an error? Accusing someone of tampering with an auto card? I dont think anyone in their right mind would pull a Montana Auto, no matter how low its numbered, "erase" the auto and scribble Aaron's name on it! If this is the case, then I truly have seen "EVERYTHING!" and am getting out of this hobby.
But at the same time, for this to happen and he ask about it , there has to be something special about the card. Call the company and ask. Then you can tell all those marooons that acused you of card tampering to kick rocks! ![]() I collect Jason Hill (349/830 = 42.9%), 217 Auto's. 207 Jerseys & Patches, 21 1/1' s....
