The new BGS registry
bgstan Wrote:I hear your frustration. I also enjoyed viewing other people's registries and mines from the old registry. It such a nuisance to navigate the registry now, it has become a waste of time to even bother with the registry. I mean I still get that 'webserver has timedout' error when I try to search the registry. I don't want to sound like a "beckett basher" but I really want beckett to fix this garbage they call a registry and listen to it's customers and revert back to the old registry or atleast improving the current one by leaps and bounds. agreed. This improvement was a step back. To not be able to view the registry's of the cards we collect is stunning. Beckett, YOU GUYS GRADE CARDS AND URGE PEOPLE TO COLLECT THEM, YET WE CAN NOT EVEN SEE A SIMPLE REGISTRY? This was a failure of a business decision. Please fix this ASAP. This is horrible. |

The new BGS registry
This website is completely ridiculous!! I would say that 99% of the people on here liked the old website way better than this. I am officially switching over to PSA for any new registries. Years of collecting BGS registries has simply gone down the drain for me with this waste of cyberspace they call a website. PSA's set registry is so simple and easy to use. I still would prefer the "OLD" BGS website to the PSA, but what do we know? We are only the customers right?

I Still cant figure out how to upload new cards to my registry. Appears that all the new stuff is geared for trading, and tracking value. I really dont care about either.

I filled out the survey, but I'm not expecting any kind of corporate revelations... everyone's been pointing out these issues all along within the forums.
And thanks beckett, for putting your revolutionary "trade system" above BGS collectors when it comes to your online support. Glad to sacrifice the old registry so that members can trade their 5 cent commons amongst themselves. |

The new BGS registry
I just filled the survey out as well but I'm not expecting much as well. The new site and registry launched in the summer and it is almost the first of the year w/ little change.

The new BGS registry
Thanks for pointing out the survey link ..... I had a few comments to make concerning the "new" registry as well.
I will contact a few collectors to notify them of this link so that they too can voice their displeasure. |

I just do not like all the page hanging and the popups other than that the site is fine for me...

Horrible website, horrible registry...no, let me back-track, you cannot even call it a registry. I asked about not being able to add scans of our registered cards and not being able to view others' collections in August...I was told it would only be a few more weeks. I followed-up in October, but this time, I didn't even get a reply. BGS took an average functioning card registry and broke it. I now use imageevent to showcase my collection. It is sad because I think in terms of customer service, quality of slab, grading, etc., BGS is the best for my modern collection...the people handling the registry side do not know what they are doing in my opinion. |

jgrillo39 Wrote: They fail to realize that the Registry fuels the Fire. Cards that normally wouldn't be graded get graded to get a set finished. It also generates higher sales of cards when there is a demand by the Set Builders. But when you cant add a card, view a set Registry or even navigate the dang site, well why bother. Jeez, I think I'm gonna pull my hair out, or better yet rip my skin off. Pete |
