Looking to get rid of my collection
You'll have to find a balance between an investment in your resources of time and money vs the value you want in return. It'll also depend on your knowledge with what you have.
To get rid of items quickly and easily... work locally. You can often find ads in local papers for dealers seeking out buying collections outright. Of course you won't get too much value this way but you'll save time and money in doing so. If you have lots of stuff and a weekend to blow, think about buying a table at a local card show. If you're offering good deals, you might get rid of most of it. For smaller collections of items, you might visit a card show as a consumer and see about selling or trading with dealers. I've done this with some success. Ebay is another great way, but it will take lots of work for a larger collection. The key is creating catchy ads with great pictures and a low price. Some stuff can hardly be given away. Commons or poor conditions will keep some things from selling and you'll just keep wasting resources by trying. For these things I'd consider 2 options... 1) Donate to Goodwill and at least take some tax deductions or 2) Offer the common stuff to some local kids, you might spark some collector passion for a future generation. Hope that gives you some ideas. |

Looking to get rid of my collection
Ebay is what I do to sell my cards. I have been collecting for many many years. Pricing them, do it on this site. What are you willing to sell your collection for? I may want to buy them from you. How many do you have? What condition are they? What stars do you have from the '50s? If you have any questions you can contact me at kevmac39@yahoo.com
Thanks, Kevin |
