Well, I am just getting frustrated now....I can not figure out how to set up my collections.....I never had one before so they cant transfer it over.  It is not letting me create a new one....just keep going in circles.

Really want to at least give this a try but nothing seems to be working..

This comes directly from the help page.

What is the cost of Trading?

Initially, there will not be a cost for trading - the trading of cards
for cards. When we implement the fees, you will see a subscription fee
automatically charged. The amount will be 500 points (or $6.00) per
month. See the section on Points to learn about the currency on
Beckett.com.

That does not say that trading is free.....it says initially trading is free until we implement fees.......so in 2 months we will be paying $24/mth to trade in all areas...

Not exactly. There is no longer a trade forum. We have an entire Trade application that is built into Organize and the various Collections you create. You'll see when view someone's profile (accessible by clicking on anyone's Member Name) that their is a Trade with Me link. This opens up a new trade with that user.

You can then choose items from your Organize that you have made available for trade, and from the other members Organize as well to add to their side of the trade. You are like the GM of your collection looking to Trade with other members.

Give it a shot, it's free now as everyone gets used to it.

When we do go to charging for Trade, it's $6 a month, that's for all trading total. Again it's not per forum since that's not how it works anymore.

We'll probably also have some special offers for subscribers as well when we get there.
It's all linked into organize and feedback. Will move your items out of your collections and into your trade partner's collections. You can have many Trades going at once with different users. It's fairly robust and we have plans for a lot more features, especially after we find out what new features you would like added.

So it's free now, and when we charge, we think you'll find it's worth it.

As for selling, that is a flat 3.5% of your listing price. No listing fees or anything else. This is no in addition to the $6 per month fee for trading.

Let us know if you have any more questions in our Help Discussion. http://beta.beckett.com/group/471639/Enc...tent />

pujolsthomefan33 - where did you get this number?
It's actually free to trade right now....and when Beckett does start charging, it's only $6/month flat.

To clarify --

Trades are FREE for at least until the end of 2008.
When the new fee is implemented, it's only $6.00/month flat for any amount of trades and any sport. No forums, no counting cards. Nothing else!

Sales are charged at 3% of your Total Asking Price (you can set this yourself in your personal Organize page under "Sell Price").  This is not a percentage based on Beckett Value nor the actual transaction value.

I love how you keep suggesting that we go test out the trade feature.

You do realize that 99% of the users don't have their collections converted yet?  You're pushing us to try something that we cannot attempt at all.

Is there any way to browse peoples collections without going through profiles, or do I have just click every member and hope they have cards I need?

I collect 1999 Ultra, 2002 Topps 206, 2003 Topps 205, A&G Minis, Andy Pettitte,
and Brett Gardner.
