I was totally ripped off. I'm not sure how many people have actually bought some hobby packs from Wallyworld but heres my story.

I bought 6 packs of Elite at 6 bucks a piece. The packs are regular hobby packs with 5 cards per pack. Yea well I paid for 4 cards and a security sensor. I got 1 insert which was a elite teams insert. Other then that I have a bunch of card shaped pieces of cardboard with a security sensor. GG

Is it even worth trying to contact Donruss about this?

Sorry to hear that man. Target has hobby packs too, also for $5.99
I decided to try my luck, and actually got a Zoning Commission Antonio Gates gu /250 out of it, so I was pretty happy. And I've seen other guys listing breaks on these hobby packs found at retail, and have pulled autos out of those, so I'm guessing that these packs, just like packs you can pull out of a hobby box, don't always contain hits. Some just have base in them, which is even worse. Can't tell you if it's worth contacting Donruss about it, but just offering my opinion that it may be just be the (un)luck of the draw.

Assuming I understand you correctly (and my math is right) someone owes you a pack of cards since you paid for 30 cards (6 packs at 5 cards each) and you got 24 cards (6pack at 4 cards each). Not sure if Donruss screwed up and didn't do the packs right or if you're the latest victim of pack serchers but definately sounds like you didn't get the total # of cards you should have at the very least.

that is correct. I doubt pack searchers would be doing anything since each back was individually sealed with cardboard etc. So its not like anyone could feel packs. I have to send my empty packs, my receipt, and an explanation to Donruss and then we'll see what they decide to do.

that may be but there are always 5 cards in a pack, not 4 and a piece of cardboard with a security sensor.

I've seen some post on here where people got like 1990 fleer baseball cards in there football packs or something screwy like that where someone bought the packs, took them home, took out the good stuff and replaced it with junk to fill out the pack then resealed and returned them. But since you got the ones that are individuals in the cardboard and plastic that's a bit tought to get into without it being obvious. I'm sure somewhere somebody got 6 cards in their packs and were happy about the freebies.

I bought 3 of these from Target yesterday and pulled a Jacob Tamme status auto #'d to 24 and a tedy bruschi zoning commission jersey. Also pulled a RC #'d to 999, but can't remember who now. So there are good things in these packs.

yea I've been hearing people pull some nice things outta those packs so I gave it a shot. When I get back into town tomorrow I'm going to contact Donruss and see what the deal is and if they can do anything for me.
