That wouldn't be a problem though is you sticked to IP autographs.

Really??? Didnt we learn a lesson about the card UD made that had 2 fakes? IP auto's sometime are also fakes, because some hand out pre-prints, or use other devices...

What??? How can an IP (IN PERSON) auto be fake???
I think he means TTM autos..

EDIT:

I like both. I prefer memoribilia, but they are really expensive to display (at least jerseys are...). I have an Emmitt and LT Signed Jerseys, but to frame them is probably around $200 each at the very least.

It's a matter of personal preference. I LOVE my IP Peyton Manning authentic auto helmet, but the cards are just more appealing to me. And to answer your question of "which is more valuable" 9 times out of 10 the cards are, depending on the cards. For example, does a Peyton Manning authentic signed helmet sell for more than a Peyton Manning auto'd logo 1/1 card?

The question of value can be looked at 2 ways.

There can be monetary value associated with the items and in this situation, yes the card may sell for more than the helmet.

... but their can also be personal value. So as you said, its a matter of personal preference.

i like the cards...don't have any auto'd memorabilia...

the cards can be scanned and cataloged easily enough, and storage is a breeze as well...the way i see it you can have a ton of cool cards or a few choice pieces of memorabilia....but i don't live in a big house or nothing to make a trophy room or whatever...

you alomost have to get it inperson ro your gonna pay a fortune for an auto jersey of some star from some authenticator....especially a well known one...

to each thier own i suppose...

i like IP autos, but its not that easy to get an auto of your favorite player that way. It depends on when they are signing and where they are signing too. I have been fortunate enough to meet a bunch of the new york giants last year (mostly offensive line, david tyree, justin tuck, brandon jacobs, etc. I like collecting both, but cards are easier to manage, and hold more value.
Like other people said, whatever you prefer is what you should do. If its for pc, then it shouldn't matter how much they are worth.
