OT: The Incredible Hulk (with small spoilers)
Just got back from the 9:45 showing of The Incredible Hulk...WOW.

Marvel hit back to back homeruns with Iron Man and now The Incredible Hulk. Unbelievable the difference between this one and Ang Lee's version. Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno are both in it which was a great tribute to both.

I won't spoil anything for you, but there's an UNBELIEVABLE finish that made all of the fanboys in the crowd (me included!) applaud and cheer at the end. Not to mention the applause reserved for a special guest star Wink

Bixby made it as cleverly as they could put him in. Banner is in hiding and there's a scene where he's channel surfing and they show a clip of Bill Bixby in "The Courtship of Eddie's Father". It's a prolonged head shot, which again was very cool to see that they thought of him enough to get him into the movie. Ferrigno is a security guard and does a great job in his cameo. Stan Lee also makes an appearance and has a bigger part than he has had in any of the other Marvel films.

If you haven't seen it...GO SEE IT!

Leave it up to Edward Norton to revive a franchise on life support. I figured this movie could ruin his career as the Hulk has been anything but a hit in the seeming can't miss Marvel line up. Serves me right for doubting Eddy.

On first sight of the trailer, much like when Iron Man released, I was skeptical and predicting failures. Glad to hear Marvel pulled both out in the eyes of their fans. I have yet to see either movie but will for sure. The general consensus seems to be positive.

HULK SMASH!!

Definitely enjoyed the movie (despite Ed Norton, who I personally don't care for, but that's my opinion). He did do well though. They totally set the movie up for different enemies/sequels/plot lines for other superhero movies as well. People who don't follow comics that much wouldn't get the one reference in the film which is clearly leading to the Captain American film in 2010.

Thanks for the Bixby recap, Ryan. I knew about it, yet totally missed it when I was watching the film. I knew he was in it, but couldn't recall when! argh.

I want to see Ironman because Ironman is badass and I like Downey Jr. Never a comic book fan, but I plan on seeing TIH beause Norton is probably my favourite actor.

That's what I LOVED about this movie...there were so many references to other parts of the Marvel Universe. Anyone notice the birth of The Leader? They also referenced Captain America and S.H.I.E.L.D (who played prominently in Iron Man) and it looks like The Avengers might not be too far behind.
