So this has caused a pretty big stir among collectors as of recently. 2008 Donruss Elite Hobby in retail stores! I bought 12 packs of these guys at a Target on my Lunch break just so i could figure out what the heck is going on. Here is what I noticed:
1. Most packs are thin packs, which doesnt make sense seeing that the actual Hobby packs are all Thick packs
2. The packs that are thick are for sure jersey cards as the 4 out of 12 that I opened contained a generic jersey.
3. The packs that contained jersey cards also contained Rookie cards /999 (3 out of the 4 had this)
4. There is some autos in these "blister" packs that are exclusive to these packs only. I pulled a Kalvin McRae auto and it was the first one on the bay currently and completed.
5. The packs are put together different than the actual Hobby packs so I would be very cautious buying these packs. I havent heard of anyone pulling patches, or any autos of the more well-known players...
