Rice showed great potential last year and he and T-Jack will hook up a lot this year. Slaton is good, but he is at best a 3rd down back right now in Houston, but he could eventually be a starter

I would go with Ray Rice he is a tough runner and has shown he can carry the load. Being behind Mcgahee could limit him a bit but the rest could help him.
Slaton does has a chance to put something together with the lack of RB in houston with Green being fragile, C.brown being fragile not sure about D. walker he looked solid.

IF I had to choose one to due better next season I would go with Slaton do to the lack of RB talent in Houston and the fact Rice is behind McGahee. In the long run, I think Ray Rice will have a far better career.

Slaton reminds me a lot of Cadillac Williams. He's very elusive. Earlier in his college career they were comparing him favorably to Reggie Bush. Since he's gained some weight he's lost a step.

I've always liked Ray Rice and think he's a tough runner in the mold of MJD but a little bigger. It's hard to say who will pan out better but if I was to guess it would be Rice because of his built. Slaton has a slight built and I don't think is a true workhorse RB.

I agree, Rice has the ability to be an inside runner and enough speed/burst to turn the corner. Slaton has the speed but lacks the bulk to handle the runs inside.
