He's a black QB, how does he have potential for growth? Statistically there has never been a black QB I would consider GREAT. I like Cunningham, but look at the statistics, for one reason or another there just aren't any great black QBs. Some people might say McNair, but there is no way he should have split the MVP with Manning that year. He is overrated.

That Warren Moon fella wasn't bad, Mr. Limbaugh.

Throwing for 4000 yards four times and making the HOF isn't statistically great.

Umm, I collect Julius Peppers, and you're dumb.

There has been less than 5 good black QBs, that's all I'm saying. Throughout the course of the NFL they have statistically not been good almost all of the time. Whether or not you agree with the facts is up to you. It's not racist at all. Name a good white running back in the last 20 years. You probably can't name more than 5. It's not racism, it's just facts. This is how it is.

both have HOF potential...

VY will likely be in the College Football HOF
AP is the only one with the talent to get to Canton (granted any second year player is a long shot)

I could care less about current values and short term growth potential in the card. I don't collect for monetary gain.

Justin Fargas
John Riggins
Franco Harris
Mike Alstott
Brian Piccolo

All pretty damn good running backs. Irregardless, you said Vince Young does not have potential to grow because he is black. That makes no sense. And saying McNair is overrated is really dumb.

Justin Fargas - One fairly good season doesn't qualify him as a good RB. Plus, I never thought that he was white...
John Riggins - I'll give you him.
Franco Harris - I'm pretty sure he is African-American as well. His mother is Italian and father is African-American
Mike Alstott - He's a fullback, which is not a RB... Although he was a great FB
Brian Piccolo - As much as I would love to give it to him, he passed when he was 26, which is way too young to judge anything and he was a FB as well...

All pretty damn good running backs. Irregardless, you said Vince Young does not have potential to grow because he is black. That makes no sense. And saying McNair is overrated is really dumb.

I do disagree with the person who had something to say about race involved in the success of Vince Young. That's just a ignorant statement. Believe it or not, not all African-American players have the same careers. I don't like Vince and don't think he will be very good, but what you said is just a stupid statement.

Still stick with the AP Contenders.

You named 1 RB that has played in the last 20 years that is white. Although he is basically a FB I will give you that one. Nothing I said was racist, controversial, yes. I refuse to sit here and pretend that African Americans generally make good QBs, because they don't. It's not even like it's my opinion, it's statistics. I see now why you would think I said he won't be good because he's black, that isn't the whole thing I was trying to say. Historically there haven't been many good black QBs, and I don't see him breaking from this pattern. Sure, I agree Warren Moon was good. But honestly, there are only a few select players who happen to be black that are successful as QBs. Same goes with white people being running backs, you just don't see that anymore. I don't know why this is either, I just realize that it is happening. We could get into other positions and how the elite players are mostly a certain race (defensive backs for instance) but I can guarentee by how this has gone so far, Ill get flamed. I thought we were past the point of considering it racist to describe someone by how they look. I guess not. Everyone just needs to relax. I won't make any more controversial comments anymore. And to finish my rant, none of you guys know me or my name, and you definately don't know how I look. Who says I'm not black? Think about it.
