Dang, i think everything as an investment now, thats sad when i think everypost deals with investments...shows how the hobby has went. Anyways its a toss up, Adrian has the speed and power to do stuff, and Marion just flat out is beast. Marion will have a shorter carrer because of that style ala Earl Campbell but its a toss up...both are beasts in their own right. True potential to be an elite back would probley have to be Peterson though, speed + strength ya know? But Barber isnt far behind and i think depending on this year, we will see how he will fair if he carries most the load.

As far as Rookie Card Value, I would say Marion Barber. Barber doesn't have to many good rookie autos out there and the ones he does have are still fairly cheap. Peterson on the other hand has lots of rc autos and is so hot it's going to take an amazing season for his values to rise.

Peterson hasn't proved he can handle a full load either, they will both still be splitting carries.


So my true answer is Barber for the short term and Peterson for the Long term.

Barber probably has the greater upside in terms of card value but, Peterson has the edge as a player.

Peterson for sure - he's a full time RB and can be a great one. Marion barner split time in college and will always in Dallas. Barber is my boy but Peterson has the most upside. Although Peterson is a higher risk with his injuries.

PETERSON. Don't get me wrong Marion Barber is a special back. He has that never say die style that fans just love.
Adrian Peterson however is SUPER SPECIAL. He has a combination of size, speed, strength and instincts that may have never been seen to this point. I truly believe if he stays healthy he will go down as one of if not the greatest RBs of all time.
