Yes according to BA. Good move by Tampa Bay.

There's Kyle Long to the White Sox.

GIANT frame, but not a whole lot else.

Live BA Draft Chat going on right now:

Q: Andy from Washington, IL asks:
Any chance the Royals actually get Melville signed? Is he just leverage for them against Hosmer so they can hopefully walk away with at least one first round talent?

A: Jim Callis: Hi, everyone. Sorry I got tied up there for a moment but I'll make it up to you on the back end of the chat . . . To me, the story of the first day was that the best players went in the first round and that teams didn't let the tough signs after that drop forever. I don't think the Royals would take Hosmer at No. 3 if they didn't believe they'll sign him. If Melville was just a leverage pick, I think they would have waited a little longer. Not sure if they'll sign him--he wants top 10-15 pick money--but he would be a great fourth-round pickup.

No, that's a different guy with the same name. Justin went in Day 1 (I pointed it out somewhere in this thread.). And he's Jarrod's older brother.

Oh ok. I thought you would have said something but I didn't know. What college did he come out of?

It was me who mentioned him earlier...he came out of Wright State(go Raiders) and I have been touting him since two years ago(way before I knew who Jarrod was)

He will be a better player than Hamilton(Phillies 5th Round from Wright State) and will be a steal for the DBacks

A little background from this season...he took a pitch in the face earlier in the year and played with a broken jaw most of the year and still hit .400

Mark
