2007 Bowman AFLAC Tracker Thread
Topps claims that each player who signs with them and with their team (not sure of the Topps signing deadline) will have an autographed version of their AFLAC card inserted into a 2008 Bowman product.

It should be noted that the earlier 2006 Topps AFLAC cards had the Topps (not Bowman) logo on them and due to this technicality, the MLBPA demands that each player has to make their team's 25-man roster to have an autographed version in a future Topps product.

It should also be noted that a couple of the 2007 invitees did not have regular AFLAC cards distributed at the game (due to their lack of attendance), which leads me to speculate that Topps is still holding their cards at their factory. As to whether or not this will prevent them from having an autograph inserted in a 2008 product, we can only hope.

Here is the 2007 AFLAC Roster, along with where each player was drafted.

Each player that signs will be in BOLD.

That's pretty cool, I'm pumped for 08 BCDP. A bunch of good hitters in this draft.

Eric Hosmer did not have a card in the regular set, so I doubt he would have an auto.

They also promised that the 2006 AFLAC cards were to be auto'd and inserted in later Topps products, and that hasn't happened yet. I wouldn't hold my breath with these.

You love to believe in Topps, eh?

Yeah, one of the major surprises of Day 1.

Hopefully the Mets take him early and give him big money.

From what I heard. Since 2006 is a "Topps" card they cant insert them until the player makes the big leagues. But 2007 were "Bowman" cards and Bowman can get away with it.

JP, not sure if you noticed but Paul Demny from the 06 set was drafted as well. Taken in the 6th round by the Nationals. I haven't checked to see if any other 06 AFLAC players were taken but I noticed his name when I was looking at the rounds individually.
