This is wrong. Originally people thought he was in these random fleer redemptions. He was never in that set. These cards originally went for crazy amounts because they thought there was a chance at the jrodan auto rc. However, the Jordan was actually a separate redemption and only a few have surfaced. Somebody on this board has one.

not sure where you got that information, but according to the product info and many many upper deck employees the jordan (not all 23) were certainly in the random pool as redemption cards. They did not how ever insert them all..some were used for other promotions like the 23/23 was the march buyback card for their 20th annivers contest supposedly.

It was clearly stated to me as that and if it is any other way I would be very very upset and would have been first hand lied to from upper deck. What seperate redemption are you speaking of? and actually more than a few have surfaced, ive seen almost 10 of them... and as to the product with the random redemptions it was 2007 fleer

Yeah, but Jordan was not part of the random redemptions. There was a checklist with the print run of each buyback and Jordan was not on there. I also remember seeing a card from 07 ultimate that was an MJ rc auto buyback /23. I'm also pretty sure that there was one in exquisite. I only remember a few being inserted in fleer. If you remember, there were SO many cases of fleer busted but nobody pulled them. In order to solve this, we need to find the random fleer buyback checklist.
IT was included but UD refuse to say how many of the 23 were available in those redemptions, so that is why the checklist didn't have it
here is the article
http://www.beckett.com/estore/news/?s=1&...ett&a=8155
"The white whale card is the signed Michael Jordan Rookie Card, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.

Upper Deck released the following quantities for 17 players in the program. After much begging, however, the quantity for the Jordan card was not revealed.
"
Also in other articles after this they mention they kept some for other promotions, like exquisite, ultimate, etc

I'm pretty sure that they were redemptions in a variety of packs. I believe that there was at least one that came out of that random pool and I believe Jordan was excluded from the checklist in regards to the print run. I believe that's because not all of them were destined for the base Fleer product. I saw that other redemption card that a previous post referenced and chances are other versions are still awaiting redemption. Of course, since UD has stopped responding on their facebook page for the most part, I guess there's no real way to find out unless Beckett helps us out.

godlyme Wrote:i understand the the jordan wasnt on the checklist, but it was also clearly stated that it was not going to announce the print run and thats why it was not on the checklist. The checklist if you remember came from beckett and it said something like "upper deck announces print runs of all of the cards except for the jordan" It didnt say that jordan was not in the set, just that they were not releasing the quantity. Also that checklist sucked as it told over all quantity and that was based on a few ards of each player. for example i have the hakeem /6 x2 and on that checklist it lists alot more than that, because they also count the other years and stickers etc he auto'd.

BUT MAJOR POINT IS I have a scan at home of a few of the fleer buybacks, and they clearly came from the fleer product as the buyback cert with matching hologram says so.

I am not doubting at all that some of them ended up in other products. But I know for fact some were in the 2007 fleer.

Do you have pictures of the COA's from all of the jordans? I would have thought they would all be the same. If it says the card is from fleer, maybe it is talking about 87 fleer. Can you proviede scans of the ones you have pictures of. I'm not saying your wrong, I'm just curious. I also must admit that I kind of just want to see the cards, they're such a historic cards.
