DEAL REACHED: The Rockies announced Wednesday that they've agreed to terms with left-handed pitcher Christian Friedrich, who was the team's first-round selection in the first-year player draft this month.

According to the team web site, Friedrich will receive a $1.35 million signing bonus.

Friedrich was the Ohio Valley Conference pitcher of the year this past season for Eastern Kentucky University. He went 5-1 with a 1.43 ERA and 108 strikeouts in 812/3 innings.
