SAGE is shaking things up a bit with its first 2008 football product, >SAGE HIT. Traditionally releasing in April, the product will release in two series, the first of which is scheduled to drop in March. Here is the info on 2008 SAGE HIT:

Basic Info: A Low Series release with 50 base cards (#1-#50) will release March 28. A High Series (#51-#100) with players not featured in the Low Series will release a month later. SRP of $3.99 for a 5-card hobby pack. 30 packs per case. Information subject to change.

Autographs: Autographs fall 1:5 packs. There are Gold Autographs of each player featured in the base set #’d to 250, plus unnumbered Silver and basic versions. The big change to the autographs this year is a new scanner-friendly foil sticker. Collectors will be able to scan each card easily and pick up the entire autograph and card numbering (if applicable).


Write Stuff Autographs (#’d to 25) also returns, with an analysis of each player’s signature featured on the card backs. Saturday Colors is a new set with an autographed version #’d to 100.

Memorabilia: Each box will include one jersey card. Premium Swatch cards are #’d to 50.

The Low Series checklist includes top prospects such as John David Booty, Limas Sweed, Steve Slaton, Brian Brohm, Early Doucet, Matt Ryan, Jacob Hester and Jamaal Charles.
