Donruss back in October
One of my Dist. told me today that Donruss will be back in Baseball in October. But thats all he heard so far.
Donruss mentioned that they will be producing additional BB sets this year at the April Hawaii Trade Conference but wouldnt elaborate. And they still arent. They wont be MLB licensed and will go the way of Hockey's In The Game, player licensed. Then in November, as we know, EEE will be releasing too. |

Donruss back in October
I really think that MLB should let them back in.I read earlier on another thread(after asking since I joined this site and not really ever getting a clear answer) that they were shut down because they supposedly weren't accounting for as much of the market as Topps and UD. I still fail to see how having more cards being sold and more money being made(even if its not as much as the other competitors) actually hinders MLB. More money= more money any way you slice and dice it.
I would love to see them make a comeback minus the parallels they spit out. |

Its the MLB *and* MLBPA logos that matter. Anything less just doesn't cut it. Otherwise anyone could produce cards.

Donruss back in October
At what point is it finally going to dawn on those people who think the lack of a logo or licensing lessens the popularity of Donruss baseball products are wrong? History and eBay sales prove this. They are head and shoulders above companies such as TriStar.

Maybe after all this crap that UD did this year with the "leaked" presidential predictors cards, and now the halt on them shipping/selling certain products will help bring back Donruss. Even if it means we have 200 1/1 of every player

No, but do you work for Bowman/Topps, or do you sell all your cards? Lots of people don't like Bowman cards or the first year logo either...although I don't otherwise have an opinion I think Donruss is fantastic as do a majority of collectors IMO on par with Topps and above UD.
