What would you do if you were me? - NEW INFO!
I say, go to Beckett.com, go to their Football Hobby Talk forum and create a thread there, asking the board members what they would do...
WOW!!! You actually took my advice! ![]() Seriously though, I hope it works out however you want it to go. Personally, I'm not one for 1/1s, so I would send it back... but then again, I probably wouldn't have traded for it in the first place. Anyway, let us know how it goes. |

I hear you man. I bought a damaged card for my P.C. and I really shouldn't have because it kills me to look at it. On the one hand, it was PC so I need it. On the other hand, WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE DAMAGED!?! I think if it's PC keep it and hide it, but know you have it. If it's just to have for having's sake, send it back. Get a different card...you can get some pretty sweet stuff for 95.00. He acknowledged it was damaged. IF you're unhappy you should send it back no problem.

So Im on vacation with my family and I get Adam's email saying that he wants his money back
and that he isn't pleased with the card. I tell him that it was his fault for not asking for a scan and not fully understanding the damage. I was clear in telling him that the foil was damaged. He wanted the card really bad and we agreed upon a price which he came up with. I even shipped the card out the next day! So I get his email that he wants a refund and even though I know its buyer remorse, I say, thats cool, Ill give you your money back, but all I ask is that we wait a week until Im back in town. I won't want the Leon sitting on my doorstep for a week. Well he goes ahead and calls me a **** and files a paypal dispute! 10 dollar refund? LOL, now Im on vacation with my family and my paypal account is tied up now cause this guy got cold feet on a big purchase. Board members beware! Kevin |

greenbaumenom Wrote:It's noticeable, and the point of collecting is getting stuff in great and most valuable condition, not stuff that is messed up.I have to disagree there....I'll cruise for beat up old Topps from the 50's for $1 each.....not trying to put a set together, just think that $1 for a 50 year old card is a great deal, no matter what condition. Well, I wouldn't want one ripped in half though! Maybe a few rounds with bike spokes.....I'd keep the card in question though. But then again, I'm not one for grading cards either.... |

And yes I am upset because you didn't tell me about the crease in the front of the card, I'm not going to publicly fight with you and no one needed to know this was you in the first place. I filed the claim because you accused ME of altering it. I'm done fighting with you on this because I value this site and won't fill it with a childish fight. Look at the scan compared from yours to up close, if anything, you look shady. Go check the secret santa group and freebies I've sent, trust me my friend, it's not I who is shady. |

It was between you and me until you filed a paypal dispute. I was nice, I made a
special trip to the PO so you would get your card. I disclosed that it was damaged as everyone can see. If you had doubts to my words then why didn't you ask more questions? Why would I, a Sr Member with tons of refs, need to scam you? Kevin |

SchmidtFan20 Wrote:So Im on vacation with my family and I get Adam's email saying that he wants his money backI think you should both handle this like adults, howver.. I don't think it's buyers remorse, not in anyway shape or form. I'm also a perfectionist and if I made a deal for that card, believing the OP's side of the story and received it in that condition, I too would be unhappy, but I also wouldn't have made a deal without perfectly clear scans. I don't think for a second the OP would alter the condition of a card he's been after to facilitate a refund. And I know there are always 2 sides to every story. how are we able to determine beyond a reasonable doubt who is right, or wrong. |

keep in mind I did tell him that the card was damaged on the side of the window by
the upper left side of the "O". If he had questions about that he should of asked. Kevin PS He also had the card listed for trade up on the trade boards before he contacted me! he listed the card as "slightly" damaged. |
