SO LETS TALK RETAIL PACKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????????????????
Ok so I have some questions....I'm not very knew to the hobby, I understand the difference bettween hobby and retail ok, So my question is I hear about people on here getting great cards at wallmart or target or Fred Meyers and other stores that carry cards, so now there not putting the cards in boxes there putting them in single card packs..I understand why but dosen't ruin your chances of getting hits... I've never got a hit out of retail....So lets say you had $60 bucks would you rather take it to the hobby shop and get 5 packs of whatever or go to the local Wall Mart and get 3 or 4 mini boxes?..just bored and wanna get something today but not sure what to get or where to go...I meen I say a guy on here the other day who pulled a J.Russel Auto numbered to 75 I meen what the hell I'm jealous....big game out

If you are looking for better odds and have more than 30.00 then by all means go to a hobby shop. I have gotten plenty of retail hits however they are usually never that great and are few and far between. Blasters should be used to cure a itch to bust something when you dont feel like breaking the bank. Just dont go in expecting anything and you will be happy. Also unless something has changed avoid all UD and donruss/leaf blasters excecpt for Prestige.

Retail "hits" are not usually that great, especially from DLP and UD. They seem to either make a separate GU set for retail or the Autos are rarely of "hot" players.

Topps does however seem to put some great stuff in their retail. Topps DPP and Chrome blasters were awesome last year. I personally cant wait for Topps Chrome to hit this year!

I have pulled nice patches and Autos out of Topps blasters, I even pulled a Magic Johnson Auto from a Trademark Moves blaster.

BUT to answer your question, if I had money to blow, I would definitely take it to the Hobby Shop, hits are better and WAY more frequent. You also dont have to deal with searching and resealing issues like in retail.

I buy retail blasters mainly to fill sets out and get RCs. I never expect much out of them and I rarely grab the loose packs

Alot of the Demand over the retail stuff Right now is Wally world, and Target have been getting in HOBBY packs of Don Elite, Yes I agree it does Change some odds, But in a product that is all ready loaded, not by that much IMO

But if I had $60, I would most deffinatly go to the Hobby Shop, Not the Retail side, Go buy 6 packs of Sage Autographed, Or something Like that $10 an Auto, Not bad......IMO
