is a card valued less if the BGS Auto grade is less than 10?

If you have two near identical graded cards with one being a 9 auto and the other being a 10, yep, the lesser auto would be worth less.

But the reputation of the card set and the player are factors too. Many sets, especialy cut autos and stickers don't have the room for the auto, and some players love to flair about like madmen ignoring any boundries.

There's no way of knowing (yet) the population of auto grades, so you'll have to gauge on what's been out there and the reputations.
