I'm glad Tony is headed back to a Chevy. Hopefully he'll get the team running good and his #14 Office Depot/Old Spice Chevy will be in Victory Lane pretty soon.

I don't like the idea of Newman as his teammate though. Rocketman can run fast for one lap but struggles in races. I'd rather see Truex as his teammate.

With Chevy's doom and gloom, Smoke will be lucky to get any support from Chevy. This is probably the worse time he could've chosen to make a move for ownership.

agreed, Haas is a joke, but Hendrick is leasing them engines.

Bad move by Smoke in my opinion.

He wants to be a Cup owner, do it after he's done driving. You see how well it's worked for Waltrip and Robby and others who've tried it. Just too difficult to juggle everything and be the driver too.

I know he's doing it because he want's to get back to Chevy, but I think it's a bad move. He should have just jumped in the 5 car for HMS before they locked up Martin, and made millions more until he retired, and then started his own racing team or bought stake in another one like he's doing now.

Bad move while he's still an active driver with many years left behind the wheel.

I like Tony, but I think this is doom and gloom for years to come for Smoke.

And I'd rather see Truex be his teammate over Rocket Man.

Although I'd rather the whole Stewart-Hass organization just concentrate on one car for the first few years. That's what Waltrip should have done as well.

Come on...Waltrip is a joke. The guy couldn't probably drive a tractor without wrecking it. He's definitely not his brother. That being said, Michael Waltrip racing has looked better than last year. As far as Smoke goes this was a good move. He has learned under Gibbs how to form a good support system. Hendrick motors will help a lot. Look for Newman and Stewart to win some races next year and not struggle as much as Waltrip and Gordon have in their ownership. Besides Smoke is like a Grandpa now at Gibbs, Since Joe has brought in the all puberty team in Logano, Bush, and Hamlin!
