What up!!! I just went and got my oil changed and DAMN THAT WAS EXPENSIVE!! Never realized how much more it was for 4-wheel drive and high mileage oil. Damn oil change was $47 and that was with the $8 early bird discount.

Vol 43: The wake up for God's sake Aristocrats edition!!
Father's day kicked @ss! On Friday before I went out to work at the club my finace and the kids gave me some great presents they picked out for me. For starters, I got a sweet new collared shirt which Ive been needing really bad. The new craftsman toolbox was from the two youngest girls. They personalized it with all sorts of stickers, painted messages and hand prints on it. I love it! And to go in it I got my new offset ratcheting wrenches- Craftsman of course, a standard and a metric set. I love em!!! Ive been wanting an mp3 player for a while and the misses picked me out a sweet ipod shuffle. Im familiar with regular mp3 players, you know drag and drop your music onto it. BUt this is my first experience with an ipod that syncs up with itunes. So if theres any tricks of the trade any of you know (ewilk), I'd be happy to listen. Ive had it going all morning and I absolutely love it!!!! This thing is so small and clips right to my shirt.
I took the family to the lake yesterday and we spent the day on my parents' boat tubing and swimming. The kids loved it. I think we all needed the get-a-way. Overall it was a great weekend! |

After the first change all you'll need is the new oil filter and oil. $15 or less easy. |

Vol 43: The wake up for God's sake Aristocrats edition!!
Hey guys, I'm barely conscious this morning.
About 10 hours of sleep total from Thursday night through Saturday night. Didn't get back to my apartment til around 10:00 or so last night, and I am flat out exhausted. Hopin I can get through today, though I'm considering faking an illness to use sick time to go home and nap and watch the US Open playoff. |

Happy belated Father's Day! Sounds like a pretty kickass day. The shuffle is crazy convenient. The old shuffle was the first iPod that I owned and I'm so off the wall with my music choices that I needed something bigger. I ended up upgrading to the 20 GB, then the 30GB video, then the 60 GB video and now I have the 80GB video. I want one of the iPod touch models like E just got but I'll probably wait another year before I upgrade again. Syncing with iTunes is pretty easy, you just have to make sure your settings for updates are in order. You need to make sure that you have your update settings set to manually manage your songs. Otherwise, everytime you hook the shuffle up iTunes will open and erase what you currently have on the shuffle and replace it with random songs from your iTunes library.

Oh yeah, forgot to chime in with the iPod stuff.
I've never had a shuffle, but assuming it's similar to my 30 gig video (I haven't even opened the new one yet, as I was too tired last night) the first time you hook it up you have all sorts of syncing options. Since I have more storage on the iPod than stuff in my library I always just let it automatically synced all checked songs. So if I wanted a song off the iPod, I just unchecked it in my library. Hope that makes sense. Btw, here's my thread with my weekend pickups. http://www.beckett.com/beckettforum/defa...&t=1730371 |
