Just looked it up. Last time there was a playoff was in 2001. Retief Goosen Beat mark Brooks in the 18 hole playoff. I'm not sure the last time it went to sudden death

Yeah, I remember that playoff. I didn't have a job in 2001, so I watched it. But sudden death from the 18 hole playoff is rare.

dang, sounds like Rocco lost it more than Tiger won it. (see previous post a page or two ago for thoughts on that)

Rocco would've sent it to a 2nd sudden death with that 20 footer. You could tell it was off about 5 feet after he hit it.

I've never been a big golf fan (although ALL of my friends are) but that there was exciting. I need to pay more attention to the sport. To this point, my only golf knowledge has come from Tiger Woods highlights and Tiger Woods 2008 on PS3

I've been playing since I was 9, and I've enjoyed watchin it for a while b/c I know how tough it is to do what they do. Especially going to a couple of Majors myself, watching these guys in person is incredible. I definitely don't watch every event, but I always watch the big ones, even if Tiger isn't in the hunt.
