Sonny Weems was a bull for like half an hour. And like I stated earlier, there would be no major draft day trades with the bulls. Glad to have Rose!

Yeah, heard it on the radio with Pax and VDN, I don't think its been officially announced yet but he was traded for a foreign guy who we'll see in a couple years.. he wouldn't give a name just yet. |

Glad to have Rose! Yeah, I liked the thought of having a guy who can run and jump, but I'll take it for a future big. There will be enough stuff going on soon enough as we clear our a guard or two. |

Official After-Draft Thread!
first off - trade rumors.... well, the proposed and confirmed trades at least.
Proposed trades Portland sends Jarrett Jack, Josh McRoberts and draft rights to Brandon Rush to Indiana for Ike Diogu and draft rights to Jerryd Bayless ... hmmm, questionable.. Indiana sends Jermaine O'Neal to Toronto for Nesterovic, Baston, T.J ford and the drafts rights of Roy Hibbert and Nathan Jawai.... If you ask me, toronto get's ripped off big time Seattle sends the draft rights for Walter Sharpe and Trent Plaisted to Detroit for Drafts to D.J White .... this is somewhat fair. Confirmed trades New Jersey Sends Richard Jefferson to Milwaukee for Bobby Simmons and Yi Jianlian. Milwaukee gets a second scorer and NJ goes tall New Orleans trades draft rights for Darrell Arthur to Portland for cash considerations Minnesota sends Mario Chalmers to Miami for future draft picks Washington sends bill walker to Boston for cash considerations Portland Sends Mike Taylor (NBDL draft pick) to L.A Clippers for cash the draft .... What was New York Thinking? Another Forward? They have one pick in the entire draft and instead of going after a point Guard (E.Gordon, D. Augustin, Bayless, Lee etc) they waste the pick on yet another big Forward. Memphis - first pick was smart, then instead of shoring up the centre they draft yet another SF/SG ... dumb, dumb, dumb Seattle- drafting a PG is a good move, but why- oh why - turn around and draft two more foreign big men? Okay, trading away the rights to Sharpe and plaisted was smart, but now seattle has an absolute glut at the centre and PF positions. Again ... dumb, dumb, dumb New Jersey cleans up with smart picks. Lopez a ready to start centre who pushes boone back to the back-up, Ryan Anderson makes Sean Williams or Krstic (probably williams imo) trade bait. PLus they pick up Simmons (ugh) and Yi giving them more options up front. |
