If it was the Yankees, I would just take Low level players in return and reap the benefits 3 years later....

Yankees- Get Texiera

Braves: A combination of 4 between: Ryan Pope, Jesus Montero, Alan Horne, Dellin Betances, Bradley Suttle, and Carmen Angelini.

I'd rather keep Betances than have Tex for 1 year, thank you very much. Any other deal that involves the yankees would be fine with me. I also hope the Dodgers don't get Tex. I'd even prefer the Red Sox to get him over the Dodgers. I do not want to see the Dodgers bench Loney, a future silver slugger/gold glover, for a guy who will play 2 months,.

I would LOVE to have Jarrod Parker + Connor Jackson

Unfortunately the dbacks would probably not do that.

From what I've heard/read the D-Backs won't give up Conor Jackson. They are however willing to dump Chad Tracey... wonder if the Parker + Tracey would get the deal done.

They would have to add scherzer or owings to get that done. I really don't see where a deal with the dbacks can be worked out.

If they trade Tracy for Teix where would he play? I don't know if Conor or Teix could move to third.

Montero, Betances, Pope would suit me just fine. However the yanks probably won't do that. What do they need with another first baseman?

I think people are missing the point.

Whatever team acquires Tex is only wanting to rent him for a couple of months and would like the Compensation Draft Picks. The team that signs him this off season is not going to be in the Top 15 when it comes draft time. With the D-backs, they could possible have 7 of the 1st 70 picks if Tex, Hudson, Lyon all sign with other teams. and thats not counting who else the D-BACKS let walk, in the end the D-BACKS could have 9 of the first 70 picks in next year's draft.

The Braves need to take that into consideration when it comes to determining Tex's value.

personally, I think Tampa Bay has the best shot at him. They have the farm to get him, and a team that can win, and win now. No playoff experience to speak of, but they are young, and sometimes that means they arent scared. A veteran like Tex can help in the stretch run.
How much playoff experience does Tampa have, anyway?

Tampa would be WELL advised to seek a 3rd party trade for Manny, as well. Say, Atl trades for Manny, then trades both Tex and Manny to Tampa for prospects. Burn the Sox, and makes Tampa one of, if not THE favorite.
