Assuming you are referring to TIOPS...I would say, "it's speculative at best" that site has been caught taking "trade rumors" out of a chatroom...they are like Pittsburgh's version of Eklund...there's some semblance of "sources" in there, but it's more of let's see what sticks when we throw everything at the wall...

So, I would be cautious about it...I do know Nagy has received some offers from NHL clubs and at least one KHL club...whether Buffalo is one of them, I couldn't confidently say one way or the other, so I won't...

First of all, it's 4 years, $15.75 million...and comparing Wideman to Finger is the most ridiculous thing in this thread in the past 10 pages...

I don't like Wideman at all, but there's no denying he made great strides last year in Boston...he was actually passable defensively for the first time in his career was given big minutes because of it...instead of being supported by Chara, he was actually supporting his own pairing quite a bit...

But Wideman earned every cent of that contract this year...compared to the rest of the NHL, it's par for the course...

For Finger, you guys offered about twice what any other team offered (from what I understand), there's nothing that compares to that...not even close...

No offense and nothing personal towards you individually, but this is typical Leaf spin, they'll go to any level to try to be apologists for boneheaded moves...

Fact: Finger is overpaid.

I mean, for crying out loud, Wideman is in your division...he had 2 goals and 3 assists and was a +11 against you guys this year...it's not even like he played bad in Leafs games...

Just a grasping for straws that aren't there...again, nothing personal Dave, but this isn't on the same level as Finger, not on any day of the week...

Nagy is probably asking for a job...he can probably get overpaid by a team like Atlanta who needs to get to the Lower Limit...

If he wants to win, Vancouver is a team that could definitely show interest, but they have to figure out Sundin first...

If Ryder got $4 million, Nagy deserves more...but, more than likely, he'll see $2.25 million to $3.5 million...

Let me know, when Ryder has a better than point per game season and doesn't have the inconsistency to half his production from one year to the next...

dont think nagy was benched as much as ryder. And ryder only had 2 30 goal seasons. I like him but i think nagy at this time has more respect and has shown more to date. Hope Ryder can get back to what he can do thats for sure.
