If I may step away from Sundin for a minute...

A couple things that I didn't get up on the big board yet...Filewich and Bissonnette have re-signed with Pittsburgh (Filewich is two years)...

And there's a trade...

Dallas acquires: Lauri Tukonen
Los Angeles acquires: Richard Clune

EDIT: sorry, had them backwards for some reason...I'm not sure anyone cares though...

Every time I hear an announcer say his name, I can't help but think of the South Park episode where they are that ski resort in Aspen and that stupid older kid keeps calling Stan Marsh, Stan Darsh

"Stan Marsh? ...more like Stan DARSH"

Anyway...back to the rest of the thread...

I updated the big board...um, let's see...Wideman avoided arbitration (this does NOT mean that Glen Murray, et al. can NOT be bought out; note the double negative, they cancel)

Hartigan is going to play in Latvia, so is Duvie Westcott...and they offered a tryout to Ronald Petrovicky...

Dimitrakos is gone to Sweden...

Degon (Montreal) and Harrington (Toronto) are off to Europe as well...

I don't know, it's all there...

Who is richard clune?

Clune (n.) [CLOON] - a nobody, somebody that is not likely to be an NHL regular.
Pl. Clunes

Pretty much, he's an agitator that has offensive skills that are unlikely to translate past the AHL level...he's your typical lunch-pailer, hard work along the boards...undersized...plays with a chip on his shoulder...tends to let emotions get the best of him...easily distracted by others...

I guess the best comparable to a player you know well is Sean Avery...like a slightly smaller, less talented Sean Avery...

Potential: 13th forward

This wasn't a move to get better really...it was basically a "who wants Lauri Tukonen?" competition and Dallas won...or lost...uhh...they got him...

Tukonen tends to give LA's management and coaching staff fits...he's not a team player and he thinks he deserves things instead of having to earn them...he doesn't put the organization before himself...so they ditched him and took whatever for him...the Kings lack this type of player in their organization by and large (maybe Zeigler, but he's very cumbersome on his two feet)...

Dallas seems to like your failed Euro prospects anyway (see: Pushkarev, Konstantin)...Dallas is also full of Finns, so maybe he'd feel more comfortable...Pushkarev is looking like a potential NHLer now after it seemed like he was destined to go home and never come back...so maybe they can do the same for Tukonen...

I'm not giving up on Tukonen, but it isn't looking pretty either...

Mr. Jagr, I read on another site the Sabres made an offer to Nagy. Any truth to this?
