A really quick question and a Thank you to YOU
First off I would like to say Happy Fathers day to all the dad on the board, secondly I just want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for putting up with what some might view as stupid questions(but i really dont know the answer, thats why i asked) i truly appreciate you guys and gals taking the time to answer my questions and give me your advice. I have really learned so much from all of you. THANK YOU
Now onto my question. Just talked to my tax guy regarding setting up an ebay store and he said that I will have to claim any profit i make on ebay. No problem, except..most of my cards i bought 10, 20 and 30+ years ago, how am I suppose to remember exactly how much i paid for these cards purchased at card shops and card shows around the country for the past 10, 20, 30+ years? I mean who keeps track of how much they spend on each and every card ever purchased? For those that sell on ebay, How do YOU determine profit made on ebay if you dont know what you paid for the cards in the first place? ANY advice, comments, thoughts, suggestions, tips or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I really need to know how to do this. |
