We Say: With the addition of OPC to the Upper Deck stable, Parkhurst has been re-imagined as a retired players set for 2006-07. That’s the best possible use of this prestigious brand name, and the generous seeding of the hard-signed autographed inserts sets it up as an attractive value for fans of hockey history. The checklist contains a lot of familiar names like Bobby Orr, Patrick Roy and Wayne Gretzky, but there also look to be a good number who either haven’t signed before, or don’t very often. Among the latter group: Ron MacLean, Lou Fontinato, Clint Smith, Rick Middleton, Howie Meeker, Dick Irvin and all six Sutter brothers.
